Edited by: dosperado on 03/11/2005 12:48:33 With the actual offer system you have to one additional mission to get a new offer If you declined one. WHY? There is no logic behind that. If you accept an offer you will get another offer from your agent without doing another mission (if you have still LP left). This MUST be changed so that you have to do a mission to get a new offer (if you accepted an offer), not If you declined one. I'm again over 1M LP and I'm still waiting for an 500k faction BS offer...after reaching 500k LP I did only a mission after I declined an offer...aso...annoying like hell. You are therefor forced to stuck with your agent to get the right offer, this leads to overcrowded systems with many agent runners waiting for good offers. Is it to hard to implement an option for agents like????:
About that offer of yours:
1. I'll take it, thanks. (requires to do a new mission for a new offer) 2. No, thanks. I'll wait for a another offer from yours. (The agent keeps offering without doing new missions!) 3. No, thanks. I want to get a new offer after I have completed the next mission for you (stops that agent from spamming out offers until a new mission)
This system would open the ability for many to work for an agent until the reach their desired LP and then SWITCH to OTHER agents without the annoyance of being stuck with that first agent as long as the desired offer arrives.
Any comments on that? ____________________ CEO Denial of Service

Not sure why they were unable to implement an equivalent of your option No. 3, but the problem with the original system was that there was no way to "turn off" agents. So every one of them that you had lp's with (i.e. all those lvl1,2 & 3's that you worked through to get to lvl) kept spamming like mad. Every time you'd log on you had to spend valuable eve-time sifting through your bulging mail bag.

wait let me get this straight : you've been waiting for months to get your 500k lp offer and are already at 1 mil lp because of that? DAMN! I hope i got more luck than you...

Right, that's why option 3 is so important ;) ____________________ CEO Denial of Service

I'm in the same boat as you.
It took me until 960k LP to get a Fleet BS offer before, and I'm now at nearly +1.1mil LP and have not seen any Fleet BS offer of any kind. Just constant repeats of the same implant offers.

I agree, we need a more Inteligent offer system.
I have nearly 3 million LP's with the top offer of a 5 run CNR print as my goal however despite being clearly over the needed amount my agent still gives me 0.9 million LP offers.
Can we have some inteligence here so that once you have enough points for the top offer it actualy gives it to you? I mean I slaved away for this many points because I wanted 18 hardwirings? Hell no, its got to be pretty obvious what offer I want.

the problem is with the offer system itself rather than with the reqt to do further missions after rejecting an offer.
if the offer system had more worthwhile offers at the higher end then more people might actually accept offers. atm once u get past 100k lps u get inundated with ridiculous offers for HW implants that are worthless. this needs to be improved to provide more incentive.
what has happened is that people are now farming lower lvl offers, primarily the 15k lp +3 implant offers, as they provide better value. this has caused quite a big drop in implants prices recently.
from a gameplay perspective i'm split over the rationale that makes u do another mission when u reject an offer. but i sway towards the side of u have already "earned" the lps u have with that agent so he shouldn't just stop talking to u coz u reject his last offer. the spamming of offers from agents u had stopped using was a problem initially but could have been solved in a more conclusive manner as suggested by the OP.
probably the most important aspect of this thread though is how ridiculous it is that despite building up your lps past the 500k or 600k mark that u have to wait so long to get the offer u want. i have had same situation as OP where it took 2-3 months of resetting agent one mission at a time after reaching 600k lps before i eventually got the faction BS offer. i know many other people who have had the same problem

i dont think ccp should change this - Faction ships sould be rare ships and you should need some luck to get one from the agent.
