I just bought a new ship, the Caldari shuttle and I can't fit my 150mm hybid gun on it. I have been training to get enough skills to use and I can't use it. I wanted to have speed and fire power but it doesn't work how do I fix that?

No shuttles are able to fit guns, nor any modules for that matter.
You can resell it after repackaging, though, so you will get the money back.
If you want a nice low-cost Caldari ship, the Bantam is suited excellently for mining. If you like speed and firepower more, you can't go wrong with the Condor.
Going with what you posted, I think you'll want a Condor [;)]

a shuttle is only a means of fast transportation. Its not something you use to mine, haul or fight with because it can fit no guns or modules.
Most people use them to get somewhere quick (I.E. buy a new ship) and then sell it after one use or keep it, its up to you

50K for a shuttle?
I buy mine off NPCs (the station) for 10K.
Sounds like you were ripped off.

shuttles were introduced into game as a way for players to move between systems and help to get all thier ships in 1 system. . in past if you bought say a hoarder in Rens and you were operations were in Teonusude you had fly 1 ship out get indy take it back. then fly back in a capsule and get you other ship and take it back. this was causing a nightmare for many people. and also leaving capsules or starting ships all over space. the shuttle made it easier to retrive your ships or to travel from 1 place to another. always look at info window before you buy to make sure what you buy is what you get. maybe you should also post the name of the seller on this forum so that others can aviod this costly mistake

The guy who sold it me was cool dude, he has been helping me. He also refines all my ore because I haven't got the skill. I let him take 20% which is ok until I get to level 5 like he says. Is he coning me?

Hydrath Vanervi I would suggest you withdraw any trade you have with this "cool dude", the 20% is high price for refining... the skill doesn't do much more then increase the minerals you get by 2% per level. which means unless he has a high Refine Efficency skill aswell he is taking more stuff then he makes for you. (Note I do not myself have these skills but its been told to me by Corp mates that they add to total number of minerals). Refining Skill only costs 50.000 ISK in your local school.
as for the Shuttle... You can allways see if a Ship can fit a Turret by clicking the small blue "I" bottun in market or left click on the ship and select "Show info".. then select the "Fitting" tab to see the information around Turrets,Missil launchers, High power, Medium power and Low power slots. (Note Weapons(generally) take up High slots)
As Orestes suggested, Buy a Condor since I guess you are caldari and have atleast level 2 Frigate skill. They normally (at present date) sell for around 25.000-35.000 isk dependet on the region you are in. For Caldari ships I would suggest to go to Lonetrek or Forge Regions.
The Condor is small raider type frigate with good speed and shields(for its price) and a fair amounts of ways to outfit it.
As for the Pod with the missil launcher..

Edited by: Feared on 07/08/2003 11:53:29 Hydrath Vanervi do you know how to eve-mail someone who is not in your locality/buddies list/etc?. Took me a while to figure it out, even asked people who had been using eve a lot longer than me, AND they didn't even know...
Btw what was the name of the *cool dude*.
Also I have heard lots of reports of *veteran* players putting *naff* loot up for sale in starter areas for lots of isk. They then laugh later that their *naff* loot was bought by some *idiot*. Not pleasant but...
Also never believe a stranger in 0.4 and under systems. The number of stories I have heard how some players trick you keeps growing. Some corps have a very misleading corp description hiding the fact that they are actually pirates.
SO BEWARE OUT THERE |

My hat is off to you Cool Dude. Although some may feel you are exploiting this new player , I say 'a fool and his money are easily parted' and its all part of life.
Every station sells shuttles for 10k and this is easily seeable and getting someone you dont know to refine your ore is just plain crazy. I do feel for the guy in question but he needs to learn someway ....and it appears he's chose the hard one
I do think both the poster and Cool dude are having a wind up here though to spark conversation .......anyway i hope thats the case

Before I go onto everybodys KOS list I will hold my hands up and say that Hydrath or whatever his name is is winding you up.
He posted the bit about the shuttle as a joke and I played along.
So stop pointing the finger!
But if any of you do want to buy a shuttle.....

Edited by: Shootemup on 10/08/2003 15:56:48 Anyway, going to another system to pick up a ship is easily done anyway:
- Leave station with current ship, get a little distance from station.
- Choose "dock", and open menu on "Eject" confirmation.
- As the "DOCKING" message appears, confirm the eject. You will be sitting in your capsule as your ship is towed in.
- Jump to the other system, dock at right station.
- Assemble and make active other ship.
- Make active the pod, then the other ship again - the pod disappears.
- Take your new ship to your base of operations.

Don't believe a word he says, I must have lost over 200k working out ore and equipment sales. If there are any other players out there who have links with this conman I suggest severing them.

Take no notice of him. He is just annoyed because I opened fire on his main character (Pychian). The other day when he was ore stealing and saying that the Moo & TTI were a bunch of Nancy's who he could take out in a noob ship with just a mining laser fitted
