are auto targeting systems II ingame? i would like one for the range bonus i get since i can not give up a med/'low slot on my raven and i need the range.

No, don't think so. But afaik, it doesn't actually give a range bonus, the range you see is the minimum range at which a hostile target must be for the autotargeter to lock it. If that's outside the ship's range, it's outside the ship's range. Not unlike you cruise missiles. They can *go* farther than you can lock, but that doesn't change your lock range. ![Sad](/images/icon_sad.gif) ---

afaik they are, even though they try to fix em every odd patch. pottsey would know for sure. ------------- Where are the named 800mm Plates and Mega Ions, CCP?

What do you mean by "broken"? They do work, and with 50km range are fairly useful, and with 1PG and 1CPU fittings shouldn't tax most setups. They do work, but on a frig are quite cap intensive to run forever. Also, they still lock pointless and stupid things like containers, clouds in complexes, debris, drones, etc. I hope CCP revisit this mod one day and make it so it only locks ships, shuttles & pods. Having it lock anything else like drones, structures or containers is much more trouble than it is worth. -------------

Last time I tried to use one was vs NPC ships, and it simply wouldn't lock them. I dunno if they work against hostiles in PvP tho.

They don't work for me. I still have one in the 6th slot of the Cerberus just not to leave it empty and I get a lock maybe 1 time over 10 tries.
Not that it matters, the Cerberus is collecting dust in a hangar waiting for better times ![Laughing](/images/icon_lol.gif) ____________________________________

They no longer lock all the random junk they did before. But they still lock nebula clouds when your 0km away. Strangely it wouldnÆt lock it when your 1+km away.
As for rats I had mixed results. If I active the module after uncloaking it would just cycle for ever never locking anything. The rest of the time it only locked half the rats and took far to long over it, sometimes 3 or 5 cycles but it did sort of work.
There are lots of other problems as well like if you have auto lock back in the options that overrides the Auto target. IE autolock starts locking a target, then the Auto Targeter will not lock the target even if its far faster.
I used to use Auto Targeters all the time now I just use it for the extra Target locks.

Yea, tech2 does +4. Was just unsure whether it adds to the ship's max targets or rather to my personal max targets that is set by my skills.

As far as I know it only adds +4 to the ships max targets. If your skills are to low your still limited to the skill level. _________________________________________________ Nominate famous people in Eve who had an impact on you. |
