Is there something wrong with my client post-patch, or was the alerts volume decreased to almost inaudible levels in Odyssey? With all the new sounds that have been added, I'm having a really hard time getting the usual audio cues that were provided by alerts.
If a dev reads through this, could you please answer the following if possible: - Is this change intended? - Is there a way to edit the volume of just the alert sounds back to the way they were previously? (so they can stand out from background noise) |

Either I'm grossly misunderstanding what you're saying, or you're pointing me to the config screen where you can set the % at which the alerts are fired. This isn't what I'm looking for. I'd like the ability to increase the audio volume of the alerts. |

I think Mintchip said that she wants to replace all UI sounds with phone ringtones.
Let's see how it turns out to be in the end. |

Yup, the volume is very low atm and very easily overshadowed by other sounds. Perhaps you could add a volume slider to the UI window that lets you control these alerts? Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude.

yes, this is very frustrating... the continuous sound once your in hull is fine at the level it's at, but the warnings at each percentage level need to be louder. something has to make miners **** themselves when they are being ganked |

I would like to stress the importance of a re-set of the Alert Audio settings From an Incursion Pilot point of view its just not worth the banana to get into Incursion at this point. I dont feel safe at all. ( I guess i'm not the only one )
An audio slider bar for the Alert system would be a nice feature to be added. In the Audio settings HUD next to the FX one
Althought the NEW sound itself is very low and just a downgrade for it would suffice to many capsuleers needs.
I really like the Antiraid sound as it was, but take into account that low freq sounds can be really hard to hit the ears if they get through some scrappy radio speaker, and are hardly noticed even at high volumes. |

Volume settings: lowered a bit the music level and leaving all other at 100%
I did some test to see if I could hear the Audio Alert for the Shield, set at 99%.
First try I heard the pre-odyssey audio alert, very low, but I heard it. Weird! I though it was gone! I docked and went on the random aggro test again...
Second try, visually I could see the Ship HUD flashing red, but couldnt hear a sound. taking damage. no alerts sounds... try again...
Third run, I hear some kind of low noise while the HUD panel emits some flashing red... it bleeps but its really low and hard to get...

Please report your experiences
To this point its buggy to me, so please if anyone read and can share its personal feedbacks...

Man you are out of the point, its not about disabling the Alert sound, you are in the wrong topic! This topic is about people actually that cannot distinguish the Alert sound from background FX.
If you want to disable it press C or go in the HUD and uncheck some boxes.... just read before posting...

Still have no sound for the alerts... Do you have an idea on when this could be fixed? On the other hand I still perfecty hear the "Non-Capsuleer log-off timer" sound when I engage a target or when this timer expires. So, my settings should be ok. And, as otther capsullers have the same issue...

As an amarr who gets shitfaced on the weekends I need these sounds to jarr me out of my drunken stupor.
Also, yeh I don't have the sounds either. An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded. A narrow mind is a focused mind.
