8 out of 10 times i undock i get a black screen . I can still see chat, as well as the station/gate/planet icons in space. I can still warp around via the overview only. When i jump a gate, i see my ship again, and everything looks normal, except i cant move my ship, or change my view.
I cleared my cashes and have no idea what to do. |

I am also having this same issue with no clue. Cleared cache and restarting Eve and PC didn't help. Hopefully a fix is found soon. |

I too have been having this problem.
Both toons running in windows
Undock and the screen is black
Can see everything in the overview and manipulate things in the overview
If I double tap the F10 key my screen comes back
Very annoying and dangerous in lo sec. If I loose a ship and pod due to this CCP will hear about it.

Myself and several others in my alliance having same problem. It's fixable by hitting F10 to bring up map and closing the map, but very, very annoying.

try opening any planet in planet view and exiting, should force your computer to display correct image again, it will even flash your cap as it would if you have boarded the ship in space

Got same issue, not so often though.
Also I had opposite "effect"- after jumping to system all brackets in space and on the overview have vanished. |

Yup, got the very same issue, workaround with opening/closing start map works for me, however, anoying like hell  .

I too have this problem. For me it occurs after my first reship of the day, same yesterday. Ran mission fine, reshipping and undocking encounters the problem.

The UI is still functional in this state.
Using the f10 trick works to restore the graphics, and camera panning will work again.

One thing I thought would be worth others checking though. In my first ship I use "left click" to control the camera, pan around, manually fly etc. When I switch to my second ship and the screen goes black my "left click" becomes that new UI wheel thingy, and the motions I would normally make to pan the camera in fact just brings up that wheel. When I clear the bug with the double f10 solution, once the graphics return my "left click" functionality returns and I can now pilot my ship and rotate camera again.
When the wheel comes up on left click it is impossible to pilot my ship manually as I am fixed in one (invisible) direction and can not rotate, however I couldn't find out where the settings were to change the key to bring the wheel up.
Can others confirm this UI bug as well? I understood the game graphics and the UI overlay to be somewhat separate so would be interesting if it correlates with the graphics bug. |

I'm having the same issue, along with a lot of my corpmates, seems like it maybe a issue with fadetoblack / scanner timer / fadein timers or overlapping / clashing. Also the new scanner seems to be having issues when it is active the actual button UI does not highlight blue and cycle through it's animations. I'm still experimenting to try and narrow down what the issues / triggers are in game but just a scriptwriters first guesses. |

I have this issue too, I have two toons on different screens and it only affects one, though the other toon has a wierd affect where the fitting windows image of the ship has moved away from the fitting window. I have not tried F10 but will try it after I have JC'd back to somewhere safe, was relogging the toon before, but each time I docked and then tried to undock it went black again.
If you do not want LOCAL go to WH space, its as simple as that!-á-á-á-á-á-á-á There are people who think that WH space is like 0.0 but without local, well they should light a cyno and try jumping to it. |

My client black screened twice after patching when I started it. I didnt even get to the character selection screen, and then there were like 20 loading bars all on top of eachother when i finally did get it to start.
good job on that "war on loading bars". they seem to have all blobbed up like the rest of eve. |

same here, but only when trying undock with my skiff, providenc and gnosis. 2x F10 works for me, the rest ship in my hangar (BS,BC,orca, mack, Havyasults) don't have the issue |

I've also heard going into planet view, then back to normal while in space fixes the black screen perhaps try that. I know going into then out of the map while in space works for me.

I've found that if I don't have the scanner page up on the screen. I don't get the black screen when I undock.
Also, that if you close the map with the scanner button and not F10 it seems to fix the black screen undock for a short time.
I'm using a nvidia card.
Can anyone else confirm if this helps them. Thanks. |

Getting this a little now & then, about one out of 5 times i undock.
Clearing the cache doesn't make any difference
F10 twice solves it til next time it's time to undock. |

Exact same bug seems to happen to me every 9 out of 10 undocks since Odyssey release (more precisely since very last patch as I had no time to play right after Odyssey). I never had it before and I never had it on SiSi when testing Odyssey features.
Going F10 and back, opening map or getting warp gate animation fix the problem.
It's really easy for me to reproduce - it's enough to have Market, Assets or Wallet window open while undocking (I checked with those three because I have them stacked and minimized usually).
If I undock with them minimized or closed completely - no black screen whatsoever.
Must be something with how new system/scanning screen is being rendered.

Yep same problem here. I did get this to happen before Odyssey dropped but since the patch its been getting progressively worse. The last update has made it nearly impossible to play the game. Happens now on nearly 6 out of 10 undocks, only way I can get my screen to update back to normal is to redock. I do have complete control over my overview and chat at all times and all but 2 or 3 times the bug has occurred I have had control over the brackets in space. just no background, ship graphics or camera control.

Instead of redock try Ctrl+Alt+Enter (that reloads 3D render engine I guess and forces it to redraw all objects around you) or double tap F10 (same thing but by entering map "scene" - some people say it's not working for them, though)
I was trying to see if that bug shows something unusual in Monitor screen (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+M) but last night that bug never happened to me, oddly.

I have found ( at least for me) if you click on the star map icon to the left on the neocon and click it again to close it, that will reload the screen so you can see your ship in space.
I seem to get the black screen when i change from a larger ship like a BC to an interceptor. or it could be quick ship changes and undocking.
Also, if i undock with the black screen, warp to a stargate and jump. The warp tunnel animation is centered in the right edge of my screen. Sort of like jumping sideways. When it exits jump, the screen is zoomed in on my ship and I can't adjust the view. Docking at a station fixes it.
And, please bring back the gate flash and sounds while watching a gate. |

I had the black screen on undocking last week, about 5 or 6 days ago. Only happended that once since Odyssey until just now.
I asked in Help channel when it occurred last week and the first question I got in reply was "Nvidia? ". Yes I have an Nvidia card.
I'm inclined to think (without any evidence to back it up) that it's the sensor overlay exploration thing. I tried toggling it off but it just keeps coming back. It's nice and fluffy but I don't explore on any of my characters so would prefer to have it off if possible, same with the new warp animation, it's nice but it's giving me motion sickness if I go say 20 jumps. Now I just look away when jumping.
Just had the black screen re-occur when undocking, but this time my PC blue screened and rebooted Couldn't find anything in the Windows event logs even though the blue screen had a lot of text on it, I think it said a graphics error (surprise) had occurred but it was gone too quick to read. Is this info stored somewhere else? |

Happening to me as well. Just undocked to a black screen. Relogged, updated drivers, logged back in ... still black screen.
f10 doesn't do anything for me. I'm logged off in space in a capsule ... weeeeee

Same here, totally blank screen, mouse cursor, sound. Tried repair, clear all cache, no help. Other char loaded in dock without problems, undock, same bug. |

After the latest 1.0.6 patch I have the same issue - after undocking black screen followed, and even after trying to relog, screen shows "Logging in as" with full progress bar. I can hear all the module sounds, warp sounds, however all I see is black. So good work CCP, nice patches...NOT! |

It looks like this a different problem.
Could you and any others with remaining problems please send bugreports? Best would be to send the bugreport from ingame (last button in F12 menu) while the black screen is displayed (if possible to send a bugreport at this point) and then additionally attach proper logserver logs to the same report.

I too was plagued with this bug. Most every time I undocked I had black space. After jumping through a gate I could see space but could not pan/tilt/zoom the camera.
I ran a repair on my clients and have only seen the bug once since then and that was days ago.
Not sure if this will work for everyone but it is a start.
