You really believe they'd agree on a paint scheme?
If you answer this question with yes, I have some prime real estate for sale in the Everglades. Also, contract me any amount of ISK and I'll double it.
That said, I'd love to be able to apply a custom paint job to my ship and I wouldn't even be averse to seeing an option for a corp or even alliance specific paintjob to be incl |

I would love to see some ship customization...to a point. Alliances large enough to have a custom logo could be given the ability to have that logo replace the standard faction logo on ships. It would be nice if ships had a few paint options to choose from, a handful that CCP has developed to be tasteful and match the visual design goal of the ship.
Beyond that, no, I don't want ugly bright striped ships all over space. |

Too bad we can't customize our ships like we can the char we never even look at.
And really if someone wants a pink Drake, so fing what? Don't like it, blow the ship up 
IMHO future space will be just like cars, the new ships will start off with standard colors from the "dealer" and people will customize after that.
I wish all ships graphically changed depending on the equipment like the T3s do.
My only concern is if the cost is too high it will reduce PvP because people will be afraid to lose the pretty ship.

It would make sense for a ship that in manufactured in player-owned space to bear the Alliance logo that holds the system. I'm not a huge fan of much more than that, though. |

IMO agreement on a paintjob is the alliance's problem to figure out. It's not like we would use it to identify a pilot's affiliation anyway.
Personal paintjobs=win.

Sounds like OP's apprpach is good take on this. It can obviously be done, since we've been getting dif colored ships from time to time as gifts, and some of the ships sport NPC logos. CCP should limit the amount of times it can be changed by making it have some cost, like 5M like with Corp decorations.
I still want that yellow and gray Megathron Ive seen in some of CCP's promotional images.....

I like the idea of corporate and alliance paint schemes, but I don't want all of my ships to have the same paint schemes. What if I want to paint some of my ships with my own color schemes? I want to be able to do that too. Also, I would like to see Corporate and Alliance emblems to be emblazoned on our ships. Some of my ships have the O.R.E. emblem or the Gallente Federation emblem; nice examples of ship emblems. I don't believe we should have personal emblems - only corporate and alliance emblems should be allowed.
Finally, yes. Allow for these to be displayed optionally.
Of course, to alleviate the problems with the creation of "obscene art" on ships' hulls, we'll need some kind of reporting tool.
I'll throw CCP a bone. CCP could provide tons of cool pre-made graphic designs that we can modify slightly and then custom colorize. But for elevated levels of customizations, we could go to the "Nex paint and body shop." to allow us to create our own customized skins for a reasonable price.

Hmm make the needed colours be part of the economie, with bpo and such. Like pink only drops in drone space, gold only in amarr space and so on ....
