Hello all,
Hoping someone can help me. I've made it into my mining barge (retriever) with two strip miner i's and while I dont run out of cap when mining, a few jumps will leave me empty quite quickly.
I''ve been training Energy Management up to help with this, but I'm sure there are other ways to help myself out, could anyone point out some for me?
Thank you.

General cap skill Energy Management and Energy Systems Operation will help. Also look at Warp Drive Operation. |

Check the Certificates tab on your character's skills page; that will show you the full set of skills you'll need. In addition to Energy Management (increasing capacitor buffer), there's Energy Systems Operation (increasing your recharge rate) and Emergy Grid Upgrades (allowing you to fit modules to boost your recharge and buffer).
Ideally, you should have Energy Management and Energy Systems Operation fully trained to Level 5.
You can also use implants if you feel you can afford the risk (they get blown out of your skull if you get your capsule destroyed), or possibly rig the ship with Capacitor Control Circuits (recharge rate) or Semiconductor Cells (buffer).
But the skill training will help you in any ship you fly throughout your career in EVE. For most ships, capacitor is life. "Nevertheless a prince ought to inspire fear in such a way that, if he does not win love, he avoids hatred..." - Niccolo Machiavelli-á |

If by jumps you mean warping to a belt.
This should not be much of an issue. As you are stable your capacitor will slowly settle at that stable state. |

Abrackus wrote:Warp Drive Operation. This will help more than the capacitor skills for travelling. Training WDO to lvl 4 will help as much as training both capacitor skills to 5. OTOH, the capacitor skills are also useful for stuff other than warping. |

I have seen Travel fits for retrievers where you can jump over 100au and not cap out, useful for relocations. http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/11885-Retriever-Travel-mode.html
