Well, I like most of the changes that we have at hand, however the biggest irk for me is the removal of the undocking button or shortcut or whatever you will call it from the bottom left of the screen. I know its now in the upper right, but it just doesn't "feel" right. It feels more like I'm going to move something players need next to a button that is optional, The Captain's Quarters.
I notice while i'm docked up I'll get quite a few windows opened up, which now cover up the undocking button. Why was this silent change done in the first place? It sure wasn't to improve the interface for the pilot, it makes it more confusing and now buried under windows. The only reason, I can think of was so people might accidentally click on the Captain's Quarter button by mistake, forcing that optional meager experience upon us (1.5 rooms to walk around in, pfft it would be something if you could walk around the whole station and interact/kill other players when they were docked up too).
Not to beat a dead horse any further, but having an undocking button in the bottom right of the GUI was about as streamlined as could be done.
Thanks again for most the other changes. |

Yet another thread about this.
Go to Options -> Shortcuts -> General, find Exit Station in the list, assign a hotkey, and bask in the glory of not even having to move your mouse to undock. Windows covering the undock button will stop bothering you immediately. |

Butan move
what do
etc
Tbh, I used the large button as an excuse to finally tidy up my main hangar area.
Its great for hanging things on, coats, hats, hats with heads still in, and best of all, belly buttons. You can tie them on with connective tissue, or just let the pulpy red fleshy bit congeal to hardness and you'll never notice that butan again. I get why they moved and yes it crossed me up alittle bit after the patch, however i have also bound Exit Station to a key combo not easly hit while typing etc. No more click requirement for me and I'm good with that.

You'll get used to it. I'm still automatically going bottom-left for the time being but that's just breaking the habit of eight and a half years. Stick at it and chill out. An in-character blog and a video: http://verinsjournal.blogspot.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu1mbsgo738

I've done this now as well, mainly since i usually have fitting windows and such open over station services.
My main gripe I guess is in the way we are forced into the "cookie-cutter" so to speak, it would be cool to be able to create complete GUI overhaul mods and such and to be able to use those without it violating the EULA, allowing the customers to customize the GUI to their flavor. |

I have the ships panel docked in the station window and I have another window directly below that. I've had this setup for several years now but it's not viable anymore because the vertical available space for my list of ships has been decreased by so much.
A simple setting that toggles between having the buttons in the neocom or having them in the station panel would be awesome and very much appreciated. |
