I don't know about you guys and gals, but I have tons of stuff in corp and personal hangar and it takes forever to find things sometimes.
What would it take to add a tree view to the current 3 views that are already available with groups that match the market tree ?
Any chance of a CCP dev looking into this ? Has a dev already thought of this and the idea was discarded or shelved to a later date ?

tree view would require sepperate compartments in the hanger...gee, corp hanger has that already.
try using huge cans to store items you want to keep, sepperate the items by any means you desire by simply naming the cans for their intended holdings, problem solved.
CCP has more to do then make thinking obsolete for the players.

Can you see the contents of a container on assets or corp accounts ? I think not, hence my thoughts.

true, if that was where you wanted the ability then I would agree, it would be nice to see the contents of cans in the hangers using asset widget.

you dont need seperate compartments like the corp hangar, this could work like the market.. ammo and weapons.. shields.. skills.. implants etc

Tree view is an excellent idea!
Another major help would be a simple filtering feature at the top of the hangar window. Put a popup on it that lets you choose from Type, Name, Size, etc. If you have "Name" selected and you type "Rail" into the text field it filters the display to show you only the items that have "Rail" in their name. If you choose "Type" from the popup and enter "CPU" in the text field it filters the display to show you only the items that have CPU in their Type.

Seperarate hangars are required for access control, but inside a hangar is where I want the tree view.
