Alright, so I started a trial back in 2009. I didn't like it then. But this 5$ Steam sale did wonders for you CCP.
Anyways, before I bought it, I started a new trial. This is my new trial account. I just bought The game on Steam, but haven't activated anything yet.
However, I just found a 30 day trial code. Which to me is like a no brainer. I was wondering if it was somehow possible to use this trial account on my main account I made in 2009?(It has my email, and preferred log in name, this is why I ask.)
I'd rather have it all on one account. So I was wondering if it's possible to use this 30 day trial on my 2009 account, then link my Steam purchase to that - would that grant me 60 days of time?
Or - should I just delete my 2009 account so I can use the login name and email again...do the 30 day trial, then at the end of the trial, put in my Steam product code, getting another 30 days, for a total of 60 days without fee(giving me enough time to hopefully earn Plex to pay my monthly fee.)
What are my options here? I really want to use my 2009 account, because I like having everything neat and tidy, but I also want to get the maximum amount of free time out of this.
See, I got my 30 day trial here: http://www.markeedragon.com/index.php?product=65
I also bought a copy on Steam that comes with 30 days of game time.
MY question is, can I somehow combine them? |

Interesting... I'm doing the 14 day free trial myself, and while I've found that this game is well worth a monthly sub, it'd be interesting to see if that 30 day trial could be applied once I've run out my two week clock... Hey now, hey now now, sing this corrosion to me... |

most promotional offers, particularly those involving trials, require fresh accounts |

Yeah, I get that.
But I'm asking if I can somehow delete my account / trial thing.
Cause, I decided to try....and I added the 30 day trial to my 2009 account and it accepted the code, it said like "Your trial has been activated" and some such.
But now...it still says "Disabled"
Curious. |

You can't add any other trial offer onto an already existing (trial) account. |

Ok, but it did add to it, so that 30 day trial is gone.
So I should just delete my 2009 account, remake it with the 30 trial, then apply my product code, and blam, 60 days?
Also I read it takes 24 hours to delete a character. I have to do it two days in a row to confirm. |

You pick to delete the character and then 10 ours later you confirm it.
Also deleting the character won't have any effect on the account. The account encompasses all 3 of the character slots. Whether or not a character exists in those slots is inconsequential to the amount of time the account has left.
To my knowledge deleting an entire account is no easy task since CCP holds on to all of them in the event you wanna comer back 10 years later lol.
However, you are capable of making as many accounts as you want on one email address provided hat you use a different username (but that should be a no brainer) The Drake is a Lie |

Yeah.
But I want to use my characters name, that I am posting with, on my new trial account. I also want to use the same login as my 2009 account.
Ya dig? |

We dig... but it's just not possible. Either convert the account with your desired character to a paid account or create a new character on a fresh account. In the end it's just about 30 days of playtime so it shoudlnt matter that much. At least its a small cost for a character you are stuck with the rest of your eve adventure (sorta.. :) ) |

I must ask:
Why is it not possible? Every other MMO allows it. |

Then just add game time to your old 2009 account and use it. Are you in need of some nice chat? Are you new and want some help? Look no further and join: Crazy Dutch Guy |

Ah ah, still not answered my question.
If I use a 30 day trial, on a new account, then apply my product code from Steam, will I get the 30 + 30? Because people said that the 14 day trial adds on to your account when you buy the game...I was curious if the same was true with the 30. |

You start with a trial, 14 days, and apply a code that makes it a paid account, and adds 30 days. You cannot apply a second code because such codes apply to trial accounts, and yours is now a paid account.
Common sense; assume that CCP wants some money at some point, and they have all these different offers to get you to subscribe; once you're subscribed it's mission accomplished no more offers (well they may offer ships in-game, plex discounts, etc).
EDIT: Also, you're arguing, but we're just players like you. We can't see your account screens to see the details of the offer, and even if we could, we're not CCP. If you want to argue or ask for an official final answer, petition it and CCP will respond. They usually respond to billing questions relatively fast. |

yes, as long as the 30 day trial code actually works for you, then any gametime you purchase will be added on top of the trial days you have left. |

Account time is ALWAYS added.
So yes. You will have 60 days on your new account.
No. It cant have the log in name as your old one.
Yes. You can use your old character name, in 2 ways:
1. Pay ccp to get it transfered to the new account. 2. Biomass your character and start new from scratch.
And watch your tone. It is a PLAYER forum, so be lucky we take our time away from EVE to help others. If you ever want an official statement from CCP, use the petition system.
Edit:
Possible;
Trial code > adding subscription
NOT possible;
Trial code > trial code (And no, there is NO other MMO that allows that) Paid sub > trial code. Are you in need of some nice chat? Are you new and want some help? Look no further and join: Crazy Dutch Guy |

Yes you can biomass (delete) your old char and re-use the name but to do so the account needs to have an active subscription.. which costs money.. (thats actually so in every mmo I know, apart from the free2play stuff).
And no, you can't stack trials, duh!
And really, why are we still helping? He's an extremly cheap guy who is going to grind his 30 days to buy a plex. He gets bored and quits before the 30 days are over. Waste of time..
/out.

Such a unfriendly and rude community, but thanks for answering my questions. I was really hoping this would be one of those mature communities that typically go along with games like this, but it appears I was wrong.
Still, thanks. |
