Yeah yeah I know WoW.
I think it would be a good replacement for escrow maybe.
Today I needed a price check on some stuff and I couldn't get one. I was like dammit, if only I could put this up as an auction or something...
Same as a sell order, min increases in price, exp date however the fees might be slightly higher?
Thoughts...

 though it replacing escrow is unlikely, unnecessary, and just plain upsetting seeing as how escrow is used for all sorts of specific sells and scams and such the idea of an auction is certainly a nice one i've certainly been wondering lately why this game didnt have a built in Ebay also considering it has a built in everything else and i would imagine if such a feature was added it would be as another station feature which you would have to dock at the station to bid and would make people have to advertise their item on auction but yeah nice idea

A auction is something they should put into the game for sure, escrow doesn't give you a good overview of all the items for sale, they should make it more like the market system

auctions exist in the forums but i agree a ebay stle auction on the websitee would rule. u have to login plase item on auction and it automaticly gives system location stats ect and when the auction ends the winnder isk automatickly is trasferd and the item also

something that is very usefull with this is a feedback system, in order to make sure that the ppl who don't deliver what they say don't get a change

We'd either need to limit people to one bid every 15 minutes, or somehow rely on people to moderate themselves. *snicker*
Maybe it would be easier on the database if the totals only updated every 15 minutes or every hour anyhow.
