i'm quitting because of the 4s debacle. i'm going to miss this game a lot but i can't continue playing it because i find it morally wrong to continue subscribing. i've been here since may 2003 and it's going to be hard leaving both the game and all the friends i made during this time. my stuff will go to my corp (so don't ask for it :P).

i have already cancelled my subscription and afaik quitting posts are allowed. the post was locked for other reasons.

Tbh it is your bad taste to start a corp called something nationalistic in first place. As for "it is an ancient national symbol bla bla" so was swastika once upon the time, but you don't see anyone using it if they don't want to get associated with ****'s.

TBH, I think the name 4S, Swastika shouldnt be politicised in the first place. It is called free choice/will though the intention may not be bad, it is just bad taste. At least it isnt directed to anyone e.g. corp name, "Mom I like to ****" or ticker, MILF then I can understand why because it is insulting to women, etc. because it is directed to an audience. Names like SAS, 4S, Swastika, etc. doesnt really mean a thing unless you make a big fuss about.
Coming from a background familiarising with many languages, I can tell you that in some language, the word "Malaka" in phoenitical sound is a place whereas for the Greeks, it can be something not nice. Nonetheless, see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil, nobody cares unless somebody makes a big fuss about it.
Just my thoughts.

Actually, its widely used in Shorinji Kempo to symbolise the unity of opposites. Bit of info for you all there :P

Actually iirc the title of 4S started as a parallel alliance in planetarion and was not started with a nationalistic symbol, check your facts before posting...wonder what would have happened if it started in the 5th parallel...
