Hi! From the book you can read: A clone comes with an advance level range of 1 to 10, and a level 4 clone will keep all skills with a level of 4 or lower. In the game I can see A,B,C,³ber clones, with + and - What is a level 4 clone?

Not sure where you got that stuff about clones having a 1-10 rating, its certainly got nothing to do with the game. Clones save a certain number of skill points as shown in their description. If you die and your clone doesn't cover all your skill points then you loose 5% of the skill points in your highest skill (at least I think thats how it works, its never happened to me). --------------------

Edited by: d''hofren on 09/11/2005 14:39:38 It's in the original Eve Manual Calli. Ukers can find a copy of the original game in GAME stores for around ú4.99 complete with a months free game time. It's a great way to start a second account if you feel like it.
Clones don't work that way now. Clones come in grades now with somewhat archiac titles. Go to a station with a cloning facility. Click the medic button. You will be offered a menu to choose from. Each clone type holds a set number of skill points. If you get podded and your clone doesn't cover your full SP tally you loose some SP's from one of your highest trained skills. Simple eh?
Don't forget to keep a regular eye on your current clones holding capacity and your current sp level. Don't forget to grab a new clone everytime you get podded!

I don't think the game came with a detailed manual... are you talking about the Prima guide? That thing was worthless the day it came out, and worse than worthless now, being completely wrong. - Proud member of the [23].

The Budget label, (I think it was sold out games), package that GAME are selling includes a PDF copy of a manual that is also amazingly out of date. I've never seen the Prima guide so I can't rightly say if this is the same thing. I'll try to post some more info if I remember tonight.
It is horribly out of date. I suggest anyone starting to play using the GAME supplied media disregards the thing and works from the player guide on the right hand menu of this eve-o website.
Edit - Long day I meant the other right hand side, the one that most people call left.

Yep, that's definitely from the printed manual. It was horribly out of date when the game went live and contained lots of information about things that weren't in the game yet. Unfortunately, most of those things, like clones, changed so much by the time they were implemented that reading the manual can actually cause more trouble than not reading it.
