take 1000 of each and change ammo depending on what you are going to fight. fit the ammo that the enemy has the lowest resistance too, and then choose which range you want to engage.

as someone else mentioned - for pvp carry around several... scan local before you engage if possible. if going after npc belt hunters, just make sure you are doing the opposite damage of what the local npcs do.
personally, weirda prefer to throw a little blend in the different guns, since the different ranges don't affect thing much and generally find 2xemp, 1xfusion, or even 1xemp, 1xpp, 1xfus to be helpful for getting through ship faster. not everyone agree with this, but weirda HAVE found the blend have given me the edge in claw v. claw situation where the other was using all emp (even situation where they were plated and weirda was not)... dunno how much skill come into play too though - weirda have everything that affect damage on a claw maxed. -- Thread Killer (attempt to train verbosity from 4 back down to 1 -- failed) <END TRANSMISSION> |

word.
weirda have always found that shield tankers are PITA fighting with minnie - as all of our ammo that have something that they may be inherantly weak to, also have something that they are very strong to.
this of course only mainly applies to larger shield tank where they have the slots to afford a 'proper' tank. -- Thread Killer (attempt to train verbosity from 4 back down to 1 -- failed) <END TRANSMISSION> |

EMP has the highest raw potential damage but the damage types it does means it's either very big hit or a very wide miss on damage. Phased Plasma is a lot more consistent in it's good damage. Ultimately, keep an eye on the resistances of whatever you're shooting. I like going EMP first (also for eating shields) and then if it barely scratches armour I'll swap to PP or Fusion. |
