That's a twist nobody could have seen coming a couple of weeks ago. Empire war has apparently taken somewhat of a toll (i won't refer to killboards,it's just some war retraction mails i saw from a certain number of corps), and the G/Iron incursion served as a catalyst to speed things up.
Egos,alts and smacktalk aside,there's no reason to discredit SA. It's in the course of empires to rise and fall,nothing more nothing less.
It was the same with Xetic,Curse,Fountain,etc. I don't like twisting universal truths,this will be the case with every alliance more or less,with a few exceptions.Every alliance starts out with a set of goals and they acquire a "favorite" enemy at some point along the way. When the heat is too much,or the fun is nowhere to be had,or the goals are achieved and the enemies defeated,every alliance will lose it's thunder and lack sufficient driving force to go on.
To be downright bloody honest,if the 5 or ASCN somehow disappeared from the face of EvE,there would not be much for us folks in NBSI to do. At that point,the only thing that keeps an alliance running is personal ties to your wingmen,the ones who have been in it from the start and know each other will continue down the same path,the others will go on to new things.So in that case,alliances do not go 100% dead,they just shrink before the next notable achievement that will bring new pilots in their ranks.

Well, they didnt come to that spot, but they did come to wh gate in d7....and left pretty quickly. It was a good and smackfree (well almost) fight anyway.

Thanks for the kind words, i would like to say kudos to SA also as pretty much most, if not all the fights we had were in good spirits and smack free which is how the game should be played.
