Just was wondering, what should deal more DPS, 6 Heavy T1 drones or 8-9 Medium T2 drones.
Also, how its possible to calculate drone dps? same formula as ship dps * number of drones?

1st question: 6 Heavy T1 drones does more damage but are a pain to maintain (slow pieces of s***). 6 Heavy T1 Ogres 1 does 105.6 dps while 9 Hammerhead 1 does 64.8
2nd question: Yes.
I wish there were more fun skills with Memory as primary. Poor Intaki combat people with low perception... |

He meant T2 mediums, not tech1.
Afaik 9 t2 meds outperform 6 t1 larges quite well, especially against smaller targets.

Isn't it too easy to lost your drones during fight?
I always lost a few when I start to warp out, so I think I'll lost lots of isk on T2 drones.
Is this v common for drone user, or is it just me as a "Drone Looser"?

Well, medium T2 drone costs about 300k. But medium drones are also harder to hit and they are faster to scoop.
And if using them with BS and running lvl 4, i guess you still gain good. Loss of 500k each 3-4 mission is not that bad...

6 Heavy T1 drones will outperform 9 tech2 meds unless they spend most of their time travelling (attacking swarms of frigates or long range NPCs).

Even if Heavy Drone skill at lvl 3 and T2 Drone spec at lvl 4?
