Edited by: Suladriel on 11/11/2005 13:27:22 Edited by: Suladriel on 11/11/2005 13:27:00 Just recently I seem to be having a good run of people willing to pay ransoms.
Perhaps it is because I am not asking for extortionate amounts of money, or perhaps pod pilots are becoming more aware that there are more pirates out there that honour their word and don't blow ships up after ransoming. I don't know. I'm certainly under no illusion that my name is getting around for honouring ransoms......I'm rather insignificant in the world of Eve, I don't mind admitting.
Have fellow pirates having the same run of luck?
Edited for spelling
I'm not famous, nor infamous.

Until I took a break from piracy several weeks ago, I had an unbroken run of five weeks non stop ransoming with not a single offer turned down.
Everyone from Tech1 frigates, to tier 2 Battleships, and Large barges paid up.
Personally I never find a problem with getting a ransom price for a person's release.
The key is to be mature about it, and explain the pilot's options to him in a manner he will understand.
Courtesy towards the people you attack is of the upmost importance, even though it kind of sounds ironic to say.

i used to ransom ships but now it would have to be something special that would be worth more than a set of implants, pod ransoming i find pays a lot more, and you get the loot and the satisfaction of the kill, but the very most that i would say pay would be 50% on a good night, but when they do its normally a big one.
