well, me and a RL friend are debating on possibly starting up our old corp again... we are kind of tired of null sec pvp, ctas, bla bla you know how it is (Probably why you are living in a WH)
That said, what class WH is guaranteed the most action? We don't want to do higher class WH as it will just be me and him for the time being.. so any wh class 1-3, what are the best options to find pvp and fun ganks in your opinion?
Im thinking C2's will have the most targets, but not as many juicy ships.. opposed to C3's could have some fun ganks because they start needing expensive ships to run... but C3's might not be as popular? But then the problem is if we were to get a c2 with a c2 and HS static i dont see much isk making opportunities for us for when we do need isk.
Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

You're going to have to make a choice as to which is more important long term: PvE or PvP. If you stay small, it's also not a big deal to move later if you find something better.
A C2 with static C3 is best for PVE for small groups, which you are. You might find some carebears plexing, or some C5 residents looking for exits to hisec, but really consider that your static is for ISK. Your static chains will be minimal, and will always lead back to empire.
However, a C2 with static C4 is a really good option for PvP, yet not so much of a PvE opportunity for small groups without very specialized skills. Your static C4 can connect to any other class of W-space with huge chains, which really opens the door for PvP. And if you don't like your C4 chain, you can roll it and get something completely and randomly different. I'll admit to a little bias, as my corp lives in a C2 with static C4, and it's wonderful.
A C4 will still have decent Ladar sites which are easy to clear solo and can randomly bring in a nice chunk of cash, both from Sleeper salvage and from the gas itself. Your C4 static could also have a static C5 with Vitals or Instrumentals containing yummy C320 clouds (and some fairly tough Sleeper battleships) which you can harvest for about 130 mil or so per hour depending on skills and market. But you have your backside hanging out in the open for a long period of time doing this.
Regardless of which WH static you choose, considering using your hisec exit for PvP opportunities. As a small group, you're pretty much restricted to hunting and stalking -- not a bad thing, IMO -- so you can find a lot of opportunities diving into wormholes from hisec. Everyone wants an exit close to a trade hub, so there will always be a lot of traffic, though not always easy to catch. But if it were easy, it would be called catching and not hunting.

C2 with static C2/C5 or null. But we have a C5 with pretty chains lately. Yesterday we had a C5 static with an abaddon and a hyperion closing a C4 without doing hole control or even hole check. It was beatiful. |

Thanks for the replies.
I lived in WH for awhile in past with just the two of us but we didn't really do any PvP, was more just for farming isk (Dont get me wrong though we are both over 110msp and have well over a few thousand kills each, so we do love to pvp and have a lot of experience)
What im kind of gathering is PvP in WH isn't quite necessary just in your static... you search thru the chain until you eventually find something is more so what would be happening correct? Finding some targets in your static would just be a plus?
Another thing i would possibly be interested in doing is getting a WH with a low sec static and kind of being a more so nomadic pirate thru different openings every day will be a new spot for possible targets. Are there any successful PvP WH corps in that sense? |

The static is irrelevant for WH pew. You just want /more/ of them. Opening up a fresh hole into a new W-system is juicy gank time, you're just rolling a die to see if they play the same time you do.
Maybe the time to reship is handy but if you already have a target you're probably looking to engage in a specific grid already (the low so they can't burrow into high, bait them to specific holes for advantageous weather).
I would argue that TFP meets your criteria yep ;)
We find C2's busier than C3's for pew - but in our experience you're generally catching shinier boats in the C3's as you expected. You'll know C3's shunt you to low more often than not, but what's interesting is that you also end up in Aridia* more often than not. Other WH groups have told us the same - comms full of groans every time someone spots a yellow/gold low exit. A WH oddity I guess.
That said, pirating in different lowsec all the time is a massive bonus to our small gang activities, opens up forever-boosted pew in FW and keeps people from getting cabin-fever when they're new to the hole. I think there's more culture shock than people realise when you ditch local and stay deep in W-space for a time.

For small scale ganks and pvp i'd recomment C2/C2+LS. C2s are the most travelled and interconnected class (and also the crappiest for PVE), so theres plenty of opportunity to catch someone either living there or passing through. You would also have the lowsec to pvp there.
For larger scale, high value PVP, C5s are where most of it is happening. C5/C2 or C5/C3 are another popular option. W-Space Realtor |

As a recent (last 4 months) resident of a C5/C2, and a long-term (year +) resident of a C2 with C4/HS I'd strongly suggest C2-something for your wormhole. C2 w/ C2/LS is great for small gang PVP, nobody will ever burn you out of your wormhole for that type of connection (unless your tower has no defenses) and you will find lots of pvp through your C2 Static. Also not too painful to crush a C2 static connection.
C5s are a lot of large-gang PVP (for wormholes anyways, 10-20 pilots usually) so it's harder for 1 or 2 people to do things safely.
