Mining bots are not tolerated and are banned but Scam bots have a green light from CCP. Can anybody explain why?

Scam bots don't have green light. But you have to you know actualy report them and provide some evidence that the char is actualy a bot and not just a spammer with too much time on his hands.
I got one scammer banned because i provided the proof in my petition that his contracts gets spammed in always the same time patterns. (screenshot from evelocal.com with time stamps of his messages) |

All bot are bannable, it just depends on who owns said bots...

There have been numerous examples of people clearly showing botters, mostly with how predictable their reposts are. (hopefully someone will link an example of this)
What does CCP do about it? As far as i can tell, not much. I guess they're ok with it.

Spam Bots have NOT been greenlit, they are just very far down on the todo list (they have a negligable influence on both the economy and server load). |

A scam bot is that guy in Jita local who spams the thing about having 45b to give away but it requires a little trust blah blah blah check my bio for wallet journal, send any amount of isk and I will double it! Every 4.3 seconds
He actually had another character show up in B-D local, which is bizarre because its Cloud Ring for crying out loud, but goons are staged there so theres like 1000 people in local- and the guy admitted that his bots automatically go to where there are a lot of people  |

Doesn't work The Jita is my home guy recycles alts all day. I have something like 500 people blocked 400 are his alts.

Scam/spam bots are impossible to ban. They require no skilling and can be as effective on day 1 of their existence as day 15 of their trial account. Your scam/spam bot gets bans, make another trial account or 100.

Those bots spam contract links. You can't use contracts on a trial account.

If the report isk spammer blocked you from seeing their message I could see that as being enough. I personally don't care for hundreds of blocks of people named "jlakijsdf asdflka". I see this as the least difficult method of dealing with this. And it works to reward others like me who don't like having 300 block entries from just one systems local chat.
