So I found this system full of Jaspet, have been doing Omber sofar. I am fairly new, flying a Imucus with 2 MinerII.
When mining Omber I extract 240 per cycle from an astroid. Jaspet yields only 32. jaspet takes up about 3 times as much sace than Omber, I believe.
Refining Jaspet yields about the same amount of the 3 basics, pyrite, tritium and isogen. And it yields some extra minerals, who's name and value i currently don't know.
I am in it for the ISK. Why would I want to mine Jaspet?

first jaspet has nocxicom witch is very nice when you sell it its worth alot more then isogen i think, oh and dont forget zydrineLinkage
buy the way if your mining jaspet in an imicus thats a bad idea dont think you can find jaspet above 0.4 space

I'll do the calculations again, but still, I don't know.

Omber has a volume of 0.6 m3 per single unit, while jaspet has a volume of about 2.0 m3 per single unit.
Golden omber has 319 trit/patch, 127 pyr/patch and 319 iso/patch.
Pristine jaspet has 269 trit/patch, 269 pyr/patch and 538 mex/patch and 269 nox/patch.
Zydrine is not found in jaspet, it appears only starting from gneiss.
if you are mining for isk, do the jaspet.

It was made available after the Cold War patch; it`s only a small amount of zydrine, but its worth it.
