I just typed a large doc in the in game browser and it vanished. Here is the short version.
The Odyssey warp effect is amazing and it adds a ton of realism where it was sorely needed to really add depth to the eve immersion factor. Here are some similar ideas that I would like to see added, and I hope others agree.
This artist has some incredible low-orbit renders and while they are renders, it helps to convey the idea of what eve planets are really missing:

In Eve, the planets still look like giant painted balls, and i think this can be because they lack detail and scale. I never get that idea of I'm in orbit of something that is in fact, incredibly massive. I'd like to see some lower-orbit warp-to points where you can really see the size, atmosphere, weather, lighting and such. Additionally, video cards are getting pretty great and eve isn't very taxing on ven moderate systems.
Just to get this part out of the way for flamers - this would of course require a toggle for those who want to preserve gpu power etc.
tl;dr: don't post if you didn't read you lazy bum. |

I like the idea of this. I am just getting into colonization and it would be nice to see the planets get a little love like the rest of the graphics. Jordan "Mr. NNJ" Johnson,-áOSD CSM Platform Scientia est potentia. Potentia est corruptio. Scientia est corruptio. |

Just let us hook into the DUST514 map creator so we can fly over those places and see this in Low-Orbit (OFC without interaction).
