Dear traders and market moguls,
It has been a while since the last release of EveNexus, but I am proud to present you with the newest version of EveNexus. In stead of simply comparing buy prices to sell prices, EveNexus actively keeps track of your inventory through your market transactions in order to calculate your profits.
Changes since the 0.1.13 release:
Improved the transaction matching algorithm: Inventory is no longer recalculated from scratch each time, but keeps track of which sell transactions are matched to which buy transactions. The matching of transactions is now also done multi-threaded to speed the process up.
Improved bug reporter: The source code of EveNexus moved over to GitHub. The new improved bug reporter allows users to add an e-mail address and a personal message when submitting a new bug. When submitting a bug it will automatically be added to the GitHub issue tracker.
Minor GUI improvements: Some GUI elements have been repositioned and/or resized for better usability. Additionally in some cases the tables displayed in most tabs would not refresh when new data was available. This has also been fixed.
EveNexus website (includes screenshots) Download EveNexus 0.1.14
If you wish to check out the source code, please head over to GitHub. If you have any suggestions to improve this application or have any bugs to report, you can contact me using the email address provided on the EveNexus website.
I hope you will give it a try.
Sincerely, Ren Adal |

Hi,
I tried your app but somehow the transactions loaded are very few/limited, so Im wondering doesn't it support journal/transaction walking or have I dont something wrong somewhere?
In advance thanks

EveNexus currently does not walk back through the API for journals and transactions. It should however always retrieve the last 1000 transactions or all transactions of the last 30 days (whichever is smaller). I never got journal walking to work properly, but I'll see what I can do about it. Also I'm curious as to how many transactions you actually got. Was this one character? or multiple?
A while back there were problems with reloading the contents of the tables. That bug should be fixed but perhaps this is somehow related. Could you try to exit and restart EveNexus and check if the data is present then?
Get back to me on this. I'd like to get this resolved for you and other users who might be affected. |

This is one character which has between 300-800 transactions a day, the program now loaded about 7 days of transactions (over two different updates I assume).... I have also ofcourse restarted it but the cacheduntill is stopping it from running another update....
Let me know if there is more I can do to help....

Ah that sounds about right. You didn't do anything wrong then. I'll see if I can add an API walker to EveNexus in the next release. |

The beta uses the new Customizable API keys, while the stable still uses the old FULL API keys. I'm not sure about the date, but I think the latter keys will be deprecated pretty soon. If you're new to EveNexus and want to give it a try, I suggest the beta version. |

Because I received multiple bug reports about not being able to delete characters from the accounts tab, I would like to inform you that a new version has been released including the fix for this bug. All associated bug reports on GitHub have been closed. For all users which reported this bug, I thank you.
If you wish to upgrade, please ensure that you have made a backup of your EveNexus application folder. |

I am having the same problem using the new keys. It takes the first account fine, and after that it will not add any more. |

Seems to be an API cool down issue then. Note that the API being used to fetch the characters has a cool down of 5 minutes. If you still can't add any characters, could you please try waiting for at least 5 minutes before trying again. If this doesn't work either, I'd like you to send over your log files so I can take a more thorough look at this. |

That was the problem with that, after waiting a bit it did work correctly.
I have run into a second problem though, after adding the second guy it said "parsing transactions" at the bottom; I left for a couple hours and it was still doing it when I got back. I closed the program and now it is stuck on "Initializing inventory manager...". If you want the log or anything you can catch me ingame. |

Seconding the 'Initializing Inventory Manager' bug. Has been on this for at least two hours. ( worked fine for me yesterday ) I have added two accounts, three characters, to the app |

Talked to Dark 'Shadow in-game, and received a copy of his log file. I was able to determine the cause, and fix the problem. You can expect to find a link to a new release within 24 hours in this topic. |

I really like the look of this tracker, however ive got a few problems with it
* There is no checkbox where you could add the location where an item is bought/sold from
* My Market orders page has a glitch/issue where it is not loading all the market orders (could this be because i am making them on behalf of my corporation?
* As above- market orders, profits etc are not registering corporation orders, even when I have made a corp specific api and loaded that on.
* I also had the issue of api cool down and thought it was broken. I suggest either fix this or next release just put a little warning/ text field that mentions the cool down period
If I can get this to actually list all my market transactions for my corp as well as personal ones (perhaps different color scheme, like in game) then I would definitely recommend this for others. ATM though its too buggy to be much use. Keep it up though, its probably the most user friendly UI ive seen in my (v. limited) time looking for a market tool |

I should add that ive tried to uninstall and reinstall both the client and the api's and the issues regarding missing/wrong market orders page and transactions page continue.
Interestingly though the journal appears to be up to date |

EveNexus currently does not support the Corporate API's (in any way). So it's correct that no corporate market orders / transactions are showing up. This is however scheduled for the next big release.
papamike wrote:There is no checkbox where you could add the location where an item is bought/sold from
Not sure what you mean by this. Transactions are automatically fetched from the API, which includes the station where it took place. If the station name is not listed in your transactions table, click the graph icon at the top of the panel, and make sure that the station name checkbox has been checked. |

That will be very cool. When it can do that, it will add alot of value to the small trader corporations like mine.

Sorry I should have been more exact. While there is indeed a checkbox for location in the transactions tab, this does not carry over to the 'profits' tab.
Also re: the api account section, it would be prudent to have a prompt when you click the cancel account button such as "are you sure you wish to delete this api" Just a small thing but was surprised when I wasnt prompted

Nice one mate.
Ive been doing UAT testing for a friend of mine for the past couple of months and these small changes really make the user experience much smoother. Ill do some more UAT testing for you and send it off to you via an eve-mail if you would prefer.
Again, really like the program- keep it up! |

I'm having a hard time building, due to inaccessible dependencies (internal IPs in your build env, perhaps?)

Nope the nexus repository (containing all the 3rd party libraries) crashed a while ago (without me noticing ). I've reinstalled it and now runs on a different port. If you pull my updates from GitHub, you should now be able to build the project.
CI can be found here.

I just downloaded the application yesterday, quite pleased with it. Firstly I wanted to ask how often nexus will actually update it's data. It isn't really listed anywhere as far as I could find.
Secondly a humble list of features. Beggars can't be choosers so I'm not expecting much, but perhaps you might find some of these worthwhile.
Timer Seeing as I've just installed this yesterday I'm quite anxious to actually see some data moving, so perhaps it's just that, but some indication of when nexus will next update itself would be very nice.
Profits grouped per item As far as I can see it's currently not possible to see how how much profit an item has made. Now I'd agree that it doesn't make all that much sense, since the profitability of an item is a transient thing, but while I was playing with the application I felt it was nice to see what items I am trading and how much average profit I've been making per item. Instead of per unit/per transaction.
Perhaps some history tab or something with the items I've been trading, perhaps something like startdate - enddate - itemName - avgProfit - totalprofit.

It depends on the API cool down, which is enforced by CCP. I intend to make this transparent to the user, but this is not at the top of the list.

Something like this? Mind you it's still very much experimental, and will be quite a while before it's ready to be released.

As Roigon said, a feature that groups items for profit analysis rather then individual transactions would be mint. Following that theme, how hard would it be to have a new landing page rather then the current graph.
I was thinking a summary page that essentially would tell you
*Isk spent in buy orders *taxes paid * Isk in sales * Average aggregate profit for the operation (esp when you get around to making corp api work)
Perhaps you could also allow the user to alter some aspects of this, like profit % based on location, region, system, Item whatever
This would make the information alot more palatable |

The reporting feature is the first step to that goal. Once users can create their own customized graphs in EveNexus, the next step would be to make some sort of dashboard containing Key Performance Indicators using this reporting feature. This dashboard would allow the user to keep track of their progress.
