Anyone else think the deadspace music is awsome?
I was wondering if anyone knows a way I can get the mp3s for that music without having to violate the EULA by unpacking stuff files, modifying the playlist, etc.
If anyone could share some information, it would be greatly appreciated =)

Dont get me wrong, 90% of all the ingame abience music pretty much sucks (No offence ccp), its just the faster rock-technoish music that plays when you go into a deadspace thats good.

Would have to agree. What's up with all space games and snoretastic background music? Though the deadzone music is fantastic

First off, I think CCP needs to chill about the in-game music and claiming tha tchanging the playlist or adding your own tunes to it is a violation of the EULA.
Come ON CCP...just support it offically and add something to the launcher that handles the playlist config in a safe way.
My Solution for Drone Balancing...since it must be done. |

And yet CCP doesnt give you an option to download it on their website, or listen to it in the ingame jukebox like the other music, how unfair =(

Edited by: Qalten on 13/11/2005 07:19:12 I think the entire ambient soundtrack is fantastic. My gratitude to Mr. Hallur for an excellent job. And I don't believe there's a way to get it aside from someone else or extracting it from the .stuff files.

In that case.. Does anyone still have access to the eve-i stuff extractor/eve-i eve playlist editor that were so obviously against the EULA and yet ccp didnt say anything about? ;p

A bit of EVE-Searching and googling will do you well. Just be forewarned, they're in .OGG format, not .MP3 initially.

I think all the music in the game suits it perfectly, if you want immersion.
However if you just want to run missions and get some $, immersion isnt important staying awake is so i usually play my own.

Sorry, Lorette, but trash music does not further immersion. And I'm not using the adjective to reference taste.
There are options for just about anything in game. Why is there none to disable the deadspace noise without futzing with the client files?

It sure is!
The other background music composed by John Hallur is also amazing too. I remember back during the EVE Beta test phase when I first heard it.
You can download some of the ingame music on the EVE website here. There's also a collectible CD with the original EVE soundtrack available in the EVE-Online store.
Deadspace music might be a bit hard to come by though as modification or decompiling of the EVE game files is against the EULA.

Modifying the data is against the EULA, but viewing it certainly is not. In fact, the EVE StuffIt Extractor works just fine for extracting music. ----------
