All was well in the small town of Jita....
Until Suddenly... "We are initiating an emergency shutdown, See you in 20 minutes! Toodles!"
I slowly hovered my cursor over my minimized local jita chat thinking one thing... "This can't be..."
I pulled the chat up only to see the slaughterhouse of slaughterhouses of evechat. My eyes even started bleeding from the spam that was exploding off my screen...
I saw last minute scams being put together to maybe... just maybe catch one of the fools now watching the massacre that was taking place.
As the clock slowly counted down, the spam only grew more intense. It was so bad I could only see flashes of white light passing by my eyes. Blinking started giving me a headache, but I couldn't take my eyes off it. It was too holy, perhaps a once in a character life event something like this occured.
BUT
In the final 10 seconds I had a sudden thought.
"What would be the last post I was see before the cluster was shutdown???"
The moment came closer, closer..... so close. It was only moments away!

With my eyes only a milimeter from the screen I looked at the bottom of the chat and there I saw it...

That reminds me, everyone please wait to send me isk for a few minutes. If your space man's firs t name begins with an "A" wait one minute, "B" 2 minutes, etc to promote order when things get back up. Last time something like this happened, everyone sent isk at once and that was a mess.

Ahh yes, its such a glorious moment when the servers are about to go down and you happen to be in one of the main trading hubs. When I lived in Japan my playing time was always right in the middle of the downtime so I was always able to witness all the crazy spam that would ensue minutes before shutdown. Its like the countdown to newyears ever time. People start verbally berating scammers with a passion, the random shuttle duels, last minute confessions, and there is always that one that talks about how he is going to go rub one out during the downtime.
I didnt realize how much I missed the last seconds until downtime until now. Always a good laugh. Thank you CCP. And as always keep up the good work. |

I were minding my own business mining some ice whilst watching the finale of Game of Thrones and when I alt tab to eve I see a notice telling me it had shut down.
I truly hope it is up soon so as I can continue mining ice, also hope the anomaly is still there! |

If I worked at CCP I would find where your ship was and turn the anomaly into a wormhole and have your autopilot to enter it as soon as you logged back in just for a laugh.

I was kicked 2th from server and 15 minutes stuck in the new jump animation, could open setting but the yuit button wasn't working... anybody else had similar problems? |

One of the oldest mission players in EVE designed a chart that explains stat priority in regards to mission running, compared Alpha, DPS, Ship Speed and Sig Radius and scores them.
