If a TTI polaris member misused his/her powers dont you think that person would have their status removed? If there was a misuse of said status/powers then they would be removed. If you dont believe that then you have issues you need to address.
As well the only reason why this issue has gained so much "popularity" is because of TTI. If it was some small starting corp who posted a pic, the topic would have died in days. The fact that TTI made the post made it possible for all the TTI "haters" to jump onto the blame wagon and start firing off accusations and insults.
If the roles were reversed and someone came to you wanting to sell a high tech miner what would you do? The majority of people would have gone and paid the guy for it and then keep the exsistance of said item under wraps.
Aswell, I dont hate TTI nor love them. They are simply another corporation in the game.

i dont give a toss about that,it's the fact that ccp is removing the tech 5 items from the game and some 1 from ccp or workin for ccp put the items in the game...all im doin is askin to pass on the infomation for ccp!!!
The tech 5 items shouldnt even be in the game for a start,TTI i dont really care about,if the item is removed TTI should get there isk back,but it's still not right about the items being released by some unknown person (jove)

course if they did know where certain stations that sold items that didnt show on region wide price checks and then used their regular TTI character to go there and buy stuff who would even be able to tell they had used their GM knowledge to cheat? i mean they could just say they had a full exploration division flying around in pods to find everything....

Quantum I have to disagree with your suggestion that thinking Polaris guides could be corrupt, requires a conspiracy theory mentality. This is naive on your part.
I can tell you that coming from a background of playing EQ for 3 years, both guides and GMs in online games can be very corrupt. I have seen everything from backing up characters in order to sell items on Ebay, to simply showing favoritism ingame when settling disputes or awarding items in so called "events".
Now the Polaris guides/players in EVE may have less power than the ones in EQ did, and I am not privy to all the special abilities Polaris members have, but simply greater lobbying access to CCP staff on behalf of their player corp is significant.
I also understand Polaris can move about the EVE world by basically jumpwarping. This ability would provide a wealth of information about roid belts/systems ore content, player/corp locations, and general information about the EVE world, which then is passed onto their respective corps I am sure.
Do you really believe guides volunteer in online games just to help people and not themselves? I can assure you most people who guide in online games are motivated for selfish reasons, wether to benefit thru power or simply an inflated ego because of a perceived status. EVE guides are no different than any of the other online games in this regard.

I understand that the whole mining laser thing has nothing to do with Polaris. Let me just say that before I go on....
People who are members of Polaris should not be members of any corp in the game. Polaris members are a level of management in Eve and not the same level as players. And when they are members of a player corp, the integrity of that corp will always be called into question. You just can't have people who help run the game be part of the playerbase, it just leads to trouble.
Again, not saying this about the current mining laser thing, just in general.

You didnt think to the bitter end. Starting to insult others lets you look stupid.
Fact:
Some polaris member, made it obvious, that he has an alt in TTI.
Fact:
That makes the integrity of TTI in sorts of abuse questionable.
Fact:
This specific person failed his polaris position, by making his alts connection to TTI obvious.
Conclusion:
CCP should find someone better suited for a polaris job.

Wish there were more polaris helping ingame with issues instead of wasting time locking threads here. They do a really good job ingame and my hat goes off to them.
