Quote:NEW CALDARI GÇô The Chief Executive Panel has released a statement calling Tibus Heth GÇ£the leader of a terrorist insurgency against the Caldari StateGÇ¥ and has removed him from the role of State Executor. The decision came after a board vote of the megacorporation CEOs, with Kaalakiota abstaining as Heth, who legally remains Chief Executive, was not present. The seven CEOs unanimously voted against Heth.
Shortly after, the Kaalakiota Corporation board announced that they will be holding a shareholder vote in the coming days to decide on a new leadership strategy. Exercising their powers under corporate law, the board has declared Tibus Heth an outlaw in Kaalakiota territories and vacated the position of CEO. Following the shareholder vote, the board will begin the search and selection process of appointing a new CEO. The Kaalakiota board of directors have been carrying out CEO-level executive functions at the megacorporation since Heth first disappeared from public two weeks ago.
The siege in Haatomo, where Tibus Heth and his insurgents have sealed themselves into a Caldari Constructions station, still shows no signs of progress. The Caldari Navy has declared it is taking a GÇ£wait and seeGÇ¥ approach, as it believes thousands of Caldari Constructions workers may be held captive by heavily-armed terrorists.

Took them long enough. He should have been deposed when he started the situation in Haatomo, though, frankly, I think he has done plenty of questionable things before this, and shouldn't have even been allowed to remain in power to get to this point, and KK should have replaced him with a competent businessman years ago (say what you will about his politics and interstellar relations, KK's situation demonstrates the man can't run a company). |

Heth achieved what we had all wondered after when he first rose to power: he reclaimed Caldari Prime. I remember the jubilation, I remember sharing in it. But Heth also lost us Caldari Prime, and wished to burn it.
His glory has ended. The CEP's decision is regrettable, but not because it isn't deserved; it's regrettable because we wish that Heth remained deserving.

A statement long expected and needed. At last this will clear out any possible misconception about Tibus Heth having any legitimate authority over State, Kaalakiota or Caldari Constructions assets. Any one choosing to side with him now against the Navy and the CEP will have no excuse whatsoever, and will be effectively guilty of treason.
However much one would like to hope that the situation in Haatomo will be resolved peacefully, the facts that the Templis Dragonaurs have taken hostages and have access to capital ships inside the station indicate that this situation will escalate further still.
Every effort to ensure that all those responsible are brought to justice must be taken. If the requirement for this is a fratricidal combat outside Haatomo station, or anywhere in the cluster indeed, the responsibility, mr Heth, is on your shoulders. You pledged allegiance once to the State. Yet now you lead an armed insurrection against it, at the head of a terrorist group.

Heth never had much support from State capsuleers.
Just because there's something broken with the executive didn't mean that State loyalists were going to up and leave their homes in some kind of petulant protest. Instead they very sensibly kept their mouths shut, and did what they could to reduce the harm done from the inside.
Change was only ever going to come from within the State.

You are laughing at a great strategist, consider the following:
I'm still very impressed how long he (and CEO's of other Patriot Corporations) could keep an entire Region (Black Rise) cloaked for us and the rest of the Empires until YC110. A good headstart in that Region was found by the Patriots to exploit the resources to an extent that there was even discussion within CEP if that region shouldn't become a Fourth District within the State. Now that was the moment I considered the impact of that new expansion and funds could lead to something great. And it did. Caldari Prime.
He's in my eyes one of the greatest strategists and CEO's by actually implementing his plans backed by self found expansions and funds during a substantial period. The State is better off then when he started. We are stronger and larger, we know Caldari Prime is not unreachable.
We only have failed to find the funds to continue a war of attrition. It is this failure that CEP holds against Heth. Heth tried to correct it by restructuring some subsidiaries of KK, but that was not enough. It could never have been enough. The Federation is financially stronger than the Patriots are alone, we have felt it yet again. Divided by vile Federation poliics. But biting that penny is yet again a firm reminder that the State is all of our corporations!
I hope CEP will choose a new executor that makes our bond stronger than ever, we cannot survive without it. -- Chaos always wins, it is simply better organized. |

Wrap yourselves in your illusions of duty and honor if you will, but the worst lies we tell are to ourselves.
I'm not sure where you get that from but, whatever, I'll bite. I know, but I seem to recall that most State capsuleers cheered for the retaking of Caldari Prime back in time, that is all. I am sorry that you feel that it is taking some kind of moral high ground.
Heth did things many can agree with. He also went mad with power it seems. |

Personally, I've never agreed with Heth. I've always taken a moderate approach, and a profit approach. Why do we need Caldari Prime, really? It serves the State no purpose but to be a propaganda piece and a constant burden on resources. Personally, I would rather that Leviathan had fired it's weapons in-atmosphere, the whole damn problem gone in one fell swoop. The humanitarian side I could care less for- leave that to the Gallente, who seem to have this odd desire to sing Kumbaya whenever someone feels in the least bit oppressed, but that's a debate for another time.
What matters now is that the State has finally learned that there is a difference between passion and prosperity, and has decided that Heth has by choosing the former, almost doomed us to never again experience the latter. I personally have moved a combat vessel to Haatomo, and I hope that other Caldari pilots will see this as I do, as an opportunity to show their Patriotism, and bring their ships to support the neutralization of the menace known as Tibus Heth.
That said, I do say neutralize, rather than eliminate, because I believe the best course of action is not to simply kill the man, but to have him taken into custody to face trial at an international war crimes court, so that he can answer for his crimes.
Then, we should stone him to death, because that **** makes sense. |

I think you'll find that restoration of the Civire and Deiteis homeworld has been a commitment of the State long before Heth.
I don't think its in any way fair of you to barge into a discussion that doesn't concern you in the slightest and attempt to muddy the waters by painting anybody that initially celebrated the possible restoration of their freaking homeworld as shoulder to shoulder with Heth and the dragonaurs.
It was an unsustainable action that cost the State dearly, and imposed intolerable conditions on people on the surface of Caldari Prime. There's a lot that still needs fixing down there, it cost Admiral Yanala her life to start setting right all the damage Heth did, and put us onto a course where we can continue to negotiate a solution to Caldari Prime that's acceptable to most everyone.
Now he's on the way out, we've got an opportunity to do this right.

Apology accepted, the door is over there. |
