To cut a long story short, about 15 ppl were discussing how to raid a cavern full of big nasty dragons. Felt like there were 100s of those nasty mean dragons. While the team was discussing how to raid the cavern, a small dwarf by the name of Leeroy Jenkins cried over TS and charged into the cavern killing a few dragons and his fellow gang got shocked and charged along with him, prematurely. The whole event was a total disaster with everyone dead inside the cavern. The story ended with members shouting, "Damn it, Leeroy. That was sooooo stupid! Leeroy, you idiot!"

You really have to see the vid to appreciate the thing.

-_- I have played WoW since beta 4 and I still have no understanding why this event was so special. I mean if things like this were considered "Cool" then my suicide runs would be things of legend and people would consider me as the first person to solo win eve,now in reality,I am just a crazy drunk half Irish and Scotch tard who doesn't give a damn, so please let this die.

Leeroy is so last year now folks. He's gone the way of neon socks, mullets and the Ford Cortina, and should be kept there, along with "Star Wars Kid".

What made it funny for me was that he was the only one in his party who wanted to hit that room, his party agreed to hit the room, did a TON of planning in how to do it effectively, then the silly knob who wanted to go in there in the first place ignores all the plans and just charges in, getting his whole party killed. When they all start abusing him and calling him names for putting them in that position, he gives the chicken quote which was hilarious for its irrelevent stupidity. Was "at least I've got chicken" if I remember right.
More than anything else, it encapsulated a type of player who is anything but unique, the impatient jerk who screws up a decent plan or situation and gets everyone killed trying to save him.
I have known quite a few people like that in EVE. After many such situations, I have a deal with all folks I fly with that anyone who does that will die on the other side of the warp or gate alone, just as they acted alone.
