Please note first that I do not hold official status in the EM, and cannot speak for the alliance in an official capacity. This is an utterly hilarious discussion, or would be, if it was not so sad. Peace talks between us and the Amarr? Give me a break. The only reason for this current sad excuse for peace is that it is not the time yet. There cannot be a lasting peace as long as the slaver empire stands. What we have now is just a deep breath before the plunge, the calm before the storm. Everyone who can think enough to tell a pod from an asteroid even if they are both round knows that. Even the Amarr know that - and given that, this silly offer of material goods while violating the freedom of our people can be nothing but a provocation.

Originally by: Kallanagh Tellen It is a recognised fact that to ensure a effective manner of trade between two nations, a certain level of understanding must be reached in regards to itĘs inhabitants. Within the pod pilot community we have seen much talk of the ongoing boarder skirmishes, commonly in relation to the ongoing matter of slavery which has grown to be a byword for senseless slaughter. This is not a cause that we believe in, and we are sure that many of Matari origins also do not share particularly violent brand of combative idealism. We have therefore decided to take the first step, to reach others who may be interested in reaching a peaceful accord in order to discuss important matters. We have dispatched a supply ship laden with food, building materials and medical supplies to the Minmatar Republic, bound for the closest Electus Matari office to the Empire. It has come to my understanding that this group is an honourable and fair organisation, loyal to the government which directs their nation. It is our hope that this shipment is found to be satisfactory, and that this endeavour sparks off further positive relations between our organisations. We await your reply. Hello again. We have considered this matter in depth and have observed with interest the comm traffic it is has generated. I am pleased to say I am the courier of the official response. /* Telemicus Thrace places a holo projector on the ground and activates it. A matari in formal Republic garb appears and reads the following message: */ Originally by: Electus Matari This is an official communique of the Electus Matari. Kallanagh Tellen of the Amarr Royal Fleet Auxiliary, we accept your tribute. We find your organisations claim to not use slave labour nor to keep people enslaved to be both brave and heartening. As is witnessed here there are still many in the Empire that cling to outdated notions of racial persecution and religious fanaticism. It is clear from the division that is so publicly on display here that the Empire has been leaderless for too long. Perhaps you should step forward for the role. Your enlightened views could further Doriam's work and help lead the Empire into a more civilised era without slavery and persecution. It is our hope that we will eventually see the day when Matari and Amarr can stand together in freedom. "There is no good or evil. No right or wrong. No merciful all seeing god. There is only life, action and consequence"

Edited by: Khaldorn Murino on 23/11/2005 11:27:16 And played right into these slavers hands... Why do you think they wanted to present you with this gift? I do not believe you are that blind as to their real intentions... You realise that until a month or two ago these RFAUX scum were publically boasting how they transported slaves - and now they are faced with a threat of violence they suddenly decide that they dont transport slaves anymore, and not for any moral reasoning at all. They forcefully recruit 'naughty' (read slaves that dont do what they are told) slaves from Amarr everywhere to fight and die in their auxillary. They have slave traders in their ranks. Look at these people. They even supply the slavers themselves. And you would do this to your people. You have been lulled by their CEO's words. While you accept gifts from the devil. We will make them pay. And pay they will. Electus Matari, i have seen your valour in battle, i have seen you rip the guts out of Amarrian transports to free our people. Think upon what you are handing these slavers, do not doubt their true intentions. I have fought and died beside many of you. I will not throw away a friendship wrought in the fire of freedom for you falling for these slavers mind games. Think hard what you are truly doing here. - Just a simple warrior.

Ah, Khaldorn, the master of lies makes his address. Your words show their true colours in this forum of communication, the cries of a desperate man fearful that his strives for needless war shall be undone. You are not wanted nor needed here, liar, we have found those within your brethren willing to uphold the civilised ways. To the Electus Matari, we accept your message and are willing to exchange ambasadors to forge the beginnings of understanding and peace between our organisations. We await your offerings in accordance with the ageless traditions of diplomacy.

Maggot, you know of my previous troubles with "mr" Murino. Rest assured that I've informed EM officials in regards to that. As for his comments in regards to the current topic, "mr" Murino does not know any of the reasoning behind the decision, and neither is he entitled to know why. It's as simple as that.

As for what the EM board as a whole thinks, I do not know, since I've stepped down. I only gave my views, and what I've advised my successor as well as my former colleagues on the board. Personally, the only thing I trust both mr Tellen and "mr" Murino to do is run their own agendas. And EM has its agenda. The chain of events will unfold, and you'll have to be patient, just like everyone else who is not in EM.

Lomong, I will not be patient for anything. Typical words of a Midular supporter. Regardless of what your plans are I ask for an answer. Ushra'khan does not sit around on its hands, it takes action. Brother Gordo's words are true, EM's actions already insult Ushra'khan and I think we have a right to know what you believe. If we dont deserve this answer then at least we know where we stand.

Oh Lord this is SO Amusing. Bloodthirsty barbarians fighting amongst themselves again. This is exactly why all those years ago the Amarrian Empire decided to make the Matari a protecorate. To uplift them and to educate them in the ways of PEACEFUL existence. Lets just wait, next we'll see Ushra'Khan declaring war against representitives of their own kind. Why? You tell me, simply because they have different point of views. It seems as if we would of failed the universe if we allowed these barbarians to develop into a strong warlike culture that they're displaying here.

Your people enslaved us and murdered anyone who resisted. And this is what you call a civilised society and how you judge others. Perhaps we should invade Amarr and burn it to the ground and then enslave the populace burtally murdering anyone who raised a finger against us. Perhaps that would elevate us from barbarian status to 'civlised'. - Just a simple warrior.

Originally by: Khaldorn Murino Your people enslaved us and murdered anyone who resisted. And this is what you call a civilised society and how you judge others. No I call you barbarians because you act in the manner of barbarian tribes. I call us civilised because we and our other represntitive Pod pilot alliances aren't bickering and on the verge of war. Neither was the Amarrian Empire (not Khanid in case you get all aroused at a logical loophole) fractured and firing and murdering each other in the millions each day. That seems to be part of Matari history. Quote: Perhaps we should invade Amarr and burn it to the ground and then enslave the populace burtally murdering anyone who raised a finger against us. Hmm what's this burning to the ground? Could it be that you just pulled a random factoid out of your arse to strengthen your position in this argument. I answer, Yes.... I believe Matari resisted their uplifting I believe that exective action was taken against them to preserve the whole. I also believe that, in the absolute inevitability of warfare people died. Murder though? I'd be careful using this word. This, of course is your opinion on what happened. But as history is always written by the victors IM going to say that they were defeated by our forces in an attempt to protect ourselves and the Matari population. Quote: Perhaps that would elevate us from barbarian status to 'civlised'. Now, you're arguing semantics would you like me to point out the logical fallacy in your argument now or would you like to spray more "Slaver scum!" at me first. Go on, make yourself feel better, you know you want to. Also watch as I and the rest of the Amarrian pilots collectively Regards Soratah

I see AM's court jester is living up to his name. No, we did not kill each other in our millions. Why on earth would we even think about declaring war on our brothers? In fact, i do not think there was one shread of truth in that statement of yours. The facts however are this. Your version of civlised is conquering, enslaving and murdering those that resist. You can take your 'cvilisation' and shove it up your arse. Yours is nothing more than a barbaric backward culture that I want nothing to do with. - Just a simple warrior.

That seems to be part of Matari history. According to Eve historical records Matari were a fractionalised people fighting each other in several civil wars over the time of it's history. That means my statement was correct. Amarrian corporations and alliances ARENT fighting each other at the moment. Also true I call the Amarrian civilisation civilised. Well this is my opinion and since it's my opinion It MUST be my opinion... therefore it's true So... dissecting my own conversation and pointing out the truthfulness in them using applied logic and historical fact. What I actually said was hmm True... Now that we've established this, what's your point? If you want nothing to do with it then stop interfering in it's policies stop attacking it's people and stop interfering it's way of life. As for the Amarrians, since we have a duty we WILL interfere in Matari policies, attack it's terrorist freedom fighters Court jester hmm I like that. Im not playing conversations up so people can laugh at me im merely pointing out the complete absence of logical thought in ANY of your statements. This is not about scoring points or making people laugh, this is a forum that serves to educate those people who have beliefs contrary to historical fact that they are in fact wrong. Public and historical opinion (not to mention logical deduction) is against them.

No, we were not killing each other in millions. We were not fighting a war when you invaded us etc etc. We arent fighting each other at this moment either. There is no logic or truth in your statements, as usual. However, we are in agreement on one thing. You consider your empire civilised, and that is how you judge a civilisation. And that in itself, is indeed a joke jester. One which your brainwashed mind will never see. - Just a simple warrior.

If we dont deserve this answer then at least we know where we stand. This matter was debated at length in closed session and personally I think the wording of the response is very precise and clear. Any claim by an Amarr to have turned their back on slavery is heartening. To make such a claim in public is indeed brave as the less evolved members of his own Empire are likely to turn upon him in a violent outburst of rhetoric and fanaticism. We at no point stated whether we believe the claim to be either true or false because we simply have no evidence either way. Personally I leave the Amarr to act on belief, I base my actions on evidence. It is our desire to see our people free. The only way there can ever be a lasting peace between the Matari and the Amarr is if our people are set free. If the Fleet Auxiliary are not only prepared to publicly renounce slavery but are prepared to do what it takes to spread that idea to the rest of the Empire then I am glad and I look forward to the day they succeed. Do you fight for the freedom of our people or do you just fight the Amarr? There is a difference. There are many growing elements within the Empire that want to see an end to slavery and an end to fanatacism. If they are prepared to turn on their own people to see my brothers freed then I will not oppose them.If these bold claims are true only the actions of these Amarr rebels will tell us. If these claims are a lie then equally we will know by their actions. The matter of what is to be done with this tribute ship will be discussed by the board. You will have to be patient for any official response as the Electus Matari. We have a representative form of governance in which the wishes and concerns of all our members are considered. It may take time but to me it is the only way a free people can govern themselves and still call themselves free. We want to see our people free, I want to see our people free. If elements in the Empire are also prepared to see our people free, great. Do I think those elements in the Empire will have the courage to rise up against the old order? dunno but I, personally hope so. Do I think they will pull it off? Dunno, only time will tell. Meanwhile the board will continue to debate and each board member will confer with those they represent. Meanwhile I shall return to the construction of our fleet. I fail to see how you are insulted by this."There is no good or evil. No right or wrong. No merciful all seeing god. There is only life, action and consequence"

Brother Thrace, The difference here is that those goods you are receiving were brought with the blood of our people. And if these slavers were do dead set against slavery, they would have renounced it. They have not, the only reason you see them doing public u-turns on this issue is because of the threat of force we levered upon them. They still forcefully recruit our people for their auxillary to fight and die for them, they still have slavers in their ranks. They lend support to the slavers.
