[ALT] An "associate" of mine who lives in sub 0.5 space has recently received an eve-mail from a [CK1] member proclaiming +5 standing type friendship. Are they to be trusted, or is this a prelude to nasty things (tm)?[/ALT]

Be careful.
I've come across CK multiple times, once with a lost destroyer as a result. But you never know what their motives may be....

They're a bunch of pirates.. I saw one of their ships in isaziwa a few days back (Was a megathron) with a -1.5 sec rating..

So, if I see a -2.1 CK1 in .4 belt, looking vulnerable, should I take a preemptive shot? Normally I don't go looking for PvP where it will give me a big sec hit, but I've stumbled across a few of these guys recently and didn't know whether they deserved the trigger or not.

U have gotta laugh , As far as im aware Cereal Kilerz is a Pvp corp with high respect from respectable Pvp corps which obviously wont include the quote from the chap above :)

Well.....as its about my corp...thought I would post.
The +5 is legit, reason -
There is a 4/10 plex in a certain system that I was useing. When we entered the system, its happened a few times by the same corp, they leave local. All the mail was about was to give Lilly a heads up that we mean no harm and are purely there for the plex. However, the corp in a neigbouring sustem, also a 4/10 plex there, who said it was "their" plex, and lost a wolf and a ferox to me, was simply because they came off with the stupid and annoying "I own empire system" crap.
We are an ex-merc corp, we run missions and mine now, yes we pvp but 99% of it is out in 0.0 where we help out our friends in alliances and other corps. Occasionaly we take a contract, but we tell the victim after the contract is fulfilled so he doesnt go off on the useual "You pirate, I hope you get run over by donky-kongs pet rabbit" crap. This is also the reason for the neg sec status.
No doubt there will be someone who screams blue murder etc and tries to make us look bad, but the last person that said that was in game and tried to get a german corp to come to their aide....strange how the person in need of help was the aggressor and made up some story of how we ganked her scorpion in a 4/10 plex...oh and she was in her scorpion when the German corp turned up...to which they said, "How comes your in a scorp after you said they ganked you?" and "You cant get a BS in a 4/10 plex....wtf?"
Anyway, its legit, we wanted to let Lilly know this so everytime we use the plex he doesnt have to leave local and disrupt his money making activities.

they have some good PVP'rs but if i was in low sec i wouldnt trust them.
Yes they do seem to be napped with everyone apart from us, do we smell or something 
i would not run from the system but if i get locked i would take that as an act of war and make them pay, but that is my own personal feelings.

I've met a few of these guys in Horkkisen. Rocko saved my ass from a SAS inty pilot as I was being ransomed. A few others have killed rats that attacked me when I was getting pwnd.
I trust them, but only because they helped me.

We attack for many reasons ,loot thieves,Self Defence, Pirates ,Bounties , Smack talking , PvP and the odd bit of dabbling in the dark arts. We all need differant sources of income :)
So which one are u jjiimm (prob a smack talker) but none of us remember u so obviously u didn't make a impression :)

I would love to stick up for CK1, for most of us were in the same corp at one time, BUT I seemed to have been back stabed. you must sleep in the bed you made bro. it is so sad you cant even trust who you thought were your friends...

I think i have been frequenting a 4/10 you guys use...a couple of times i have seen some of your guys come in system and (i am guessing) warp to the gate and hit the scanner then leave system. Talked to one of you guys for a bit a week or two ago, seemed alright.
And if you see me in the complex...it will only be about 20-60 mins before im done with it.

DnG are actually a completely dif corp....meaning its not a front door to CK1.....yes we are all Ex-members of DnG. But DnG is an industrial corp, CK1 is a PvP corp. The only contact we have with DnG is when we get a monthly "Hello, long time no see" mail from Ossy...
P.S. Prod....stabbed in the back...huh? If you mean us leaving the Alliance, you know why we left, as does the boss of NxU...a few members tried to start something by useing CK1's fighter wing...basically they lied to us.
