Edited by: Aeonia on 19/11/2005 03:45:06 I do like the current way the skill system is setup, and I know it would be somewhat exploitable if the system had a queue in place that was limitless, but for those of us with a lot going on in the real world, I propose a compromise and would like to hear others thoughts on it:
I would like to see a skill training queue that would hold no more than 2-3 training sessions total (in addition to a current skill being trained). This would allow for beginners to setup a few skills to train without having to set their alarm clocks to wake them up in the middle of the night to start a new skill in training (as the lower skill levels take between 25 minutes to 4 hours or so).
With the method mentioned above, I feel that it would maximize the training efficiency of the players that don't have the option to log into the game and set new training every time a previous training session may be finished. I think that the system would severely limit possible exploiting of having a queue as you could only store 2-3 other planned training sessions (which would be useful for those of us going out of town or somewhere where we would not have internet access, in addition to just being able to get a decent nights sleep).
For those out there that would abuse a limitless queue in a way to where you would have several characters training on different accounts, for the pure intention of character selling, this would not create much of a positive advantage. If there are concerns that this would be a problem, it would also be possible to code the change as to not allow a session from level 4 to 5 to be queued.
Are there any relevant and intelligent thoughts about this?

I dont mean to be a naysayer, but every possible skill que idea has already been mentioned. only lower level ones. You can only use them for first month of play. You should be able to train just 1` skill up levels. It wont ever happen. The devs have stated time and again they will never ever introduce it. Sorry

It may be easier to prevent repeat topics in the future if a simple "search" feature was implemented into the forums.
Aside from that, your post was pretty irrelevant to the discussion. Perhaps you just like to saturate the forums with your sig, or read your own typing. |

EVE-search is actually a 3rd party site. The forums are getting an integrated search soon(tm). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone should read the EVE Tracking Guide. |
