The Spartans are gonna get destroyed by Penn State and then It's gonna be a very interesting race between the 2 for the title.

Ever since the falklands got a few shell fired over them, and a cirtain hand of god, I've been under the impression that that the greatest rivalry is sport was England Vs Argentina.
That or England Vs Scotland...
Or England Vs Germany actualy now I think about it.
Maybe England Vs France as well.

The greatest rivalry in sports is El Salvador - Honduras. Nobody else ever went to war over the result of a sports game. 
Failing that, you could make a strong argument for Real Madrid-Barcelona, or Celtic-Rangers, Yankees-Red Sox, the two Milans, numerous others I can't think of offhand, and still others that I've never heard of, such as football rivalries in Brazil and Argentina. Depends what you think makes any one rivalry "bigger" than any other. Even Southampton and Portsmouth hate each other with an all-consuming passion, even though nobody else in the world gives a rat's ass about either of them.

oi. I'm from Southampton and I give a rats ass.
you can tell if someones from portsmouth they have an extra eye, a hump and a tendency to dribble, and they are often married to their sister.
and the big sports rivalry is England V Australia in gods own game - Rugby Union. Since England beat Australia in the world cup, its only got worse.
On a side note, GG All Blacks. I was jumping up and down on the sofa at the end.
