Because there's no benefit.Losing ships + implants for a dog and pony show isn't worth the effort. Wash. Rinse. Repeat ad nauseum .
Of course Mr Uoweme doesn't realize here that the way to VFK-IV is a long one... And can be quite profitable. We took some time moving ships through the usual entry bubble today.
Then - with just a little time of exploration in some systems - made enough to replace them all plus some... About 150M in a very short time.
((Our industrialist (yes, we have only one, but he is quite good) will make it worth even more. No, we won't lose the stuff. It is already safe.))
Shorter time than doing a few level 4 Missions, getting the Noctis to farm everything off.
And certainly a much shorter time than to sit in a belt trying to make the ISK with HS mining.
Don't get me wrong, I don't condemn those activities. I don't care how many ships you burn in Jita. Nor does the rest of us. I endorse that product and think you should do it more often. Good for us.

I promise we will send a signed note to Mittani confirming that you did your job sitting in station all day. We like you and hope you'll get a promotion out of this. If our letter of commendation alone does not help, here is a suggestion of some trade goods that might ease your reviewal interview.
Of course most of the time we weren't in VFK-IV yesterday. We played gate games with your very brave elite vets one jump further. Please let them know that their Caracals, Manticores, Tengus, etc are actually capable of shooting, if fitted correctly. They don't have to flee all the time.

The whole attitude of, "Hey check it out! we lied to this guy, made him trust us, and scammed him out of five years of work in EVE. And look, he's sad about it. Ha ha ha, check out the lovely tears!" Scam the guy-- fine, it's part of the game. But after you got the fat kid's lunch money, you don't have to publicly hold him down and let every other mean little punk laugh at him and spit on him.
For sure, Goons aren't the only players in EVE who enjoy harvesting tears and getting a good public har har har out of them. They're just the most publicized representatives of that style of playing, over the years. So they're the ones we have to publicly attack.
P.S. Some Goons seem to be nice people. I won't shame them by naming any names here.

Or are you just **** waving in a safe direction because I don't have my finger on the "summon massive blob" button? Spell it out for me because I'm too stupid to read between the lines here.
The sunglasses I was refering to are from a novel called "Hitchhiker to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. Which btw anyone should read, its just great.
Those sunglasses go solid black whenever their wearer looks at anything that could displease him.
Assuming that Burn Jita is not done with/for profit or that the war will in no way affect you is what made me assume you wear them.
Actually the Goons themselves posted financial results for burn Jita and their targets are selective, with some room they can burn for Lulz.
And if you don't realize how the outcome or just on-going fights of a major war affect you... I really want those glasses, too!
I might add that we make enough profit on our way to Mittanigrad to replace all ships & clones each time. Actually with quite a bit of a plus...

You can belt rat in bomber if you tank it kin/thermal and hit kinetic. Orbit at range and only kill battleships. These are worth up to 1 800 000 per rat. Remember to fit a salvager too, pvp wrecks are salvageable and often contain valuable loot. Capital ships are usually faction fitted
I did think about it, even though it is tedious to start with.
The major downside resides in our currently very limited logistics & supply line. Ammo is limited and the next systems to easily re-stock are a dozen jumps away. If that weren't the case I'd certainly throw around more bombs.
Rats take a good many more hits to take down than the usual "war targets" we get. Refitting for tank & salvage would ruin the current fitting, and once again, we cannot easily dock and refit anywhere.
Logistics is really one of the more frustrating aspects of the operation, as the cure is relatively simple: More bears.
But, well, some people seem very eager to join but are still training for the minimum cloaking requirements. Once that is accomplished, we can tackle that problem... Hard to fly a crane and a SB at the same time. You know, i really hate this kind of reply. It seems a lot of goonies think harry and everyone else following him are noobs who don't know anything about this game or are carebear who never left empire because they feared too much of losing their 17b faction fit BS.
I think the major problem a Goon faces is to imagine how it is to not be in that giant safety net. Or to imagine that any way of EVE life except for being in a giant Alliance is worthwhile.
And before that comes up later: I never owned a 17B faction fit BS. A T2 Cerberus fit does it just fine and faster if I feel like soloing level IV missions, which mostly is boring as hell.
I do know some people in HS though who luv that kind of pimp ship to be fair. (More around 3-4B or so mostly and usually the fits are quite funny... Faction Ballistic Control system paired with CPU/Power ups, because they lack the core skills to do a real fitting...) But those are a minority, really, as far as I can tell. Quote:This case seems like an excuse to go punt goons because goons do stuff that makes your lives inconvenient. That's an emotional context. You know what you're doing won't STOP them from passing out free burn jita 2.0 fleets (or hey, burn jita 3.0!) to anyone that wants them for teh lulz. You know you're spending resources for something that can't possibly end in gain of any sort other than emotional.
Again, this isn't a BAD thing.
I cannot remember that Goons did do anything directly bad to us... And that, once again is the truth. We often profited from their actions instead, because we speculated on many of the same things they did.
Perhaps view it in this context instead: Assume you create a group of vigilantes or - from their perspective - terrorists that fight for a specific idea.
If you look for new members for said group, you shoot the loudest, best known bullies first. Which happen to be Goons, because their whole propaganda system is excellent and they have this large number of forum bears.
They are not very much different from the rest of the large Alliances that close their borders to everyone else otherwise.
Quote: That's what's going to convince the guy with the 10 box 23/7 hisec starship production operation to donate or discount some hardware.
Success is a measure of meeting goals. First, you gotta have goals. If the goal is REVENGE then you succeed with every single thing you blow up.
Of course if people join us that really hate Goons for whatever reason, why not? Different reasons can lead/feed into the same cause. I know Harry hates the finger-pointing they do. Blog: http://aidanbrooder.wordpress.com My EVE YouTube Vids (most recent): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2alSWxXQbI

Only in your world... In my world you told the truth like the brave lil pony you truly are.
I still remember the fanfest scene & the forum reactions... There are some with an under-standing of "fun" that exceeds the boundaries of this game. I don't say they are only to be found in your alliance. Almost everyone laughed. Although some probably smirked at a stumbling drunk, while starting to write on the forums.
It's against my personal believe in spaceship-bushido... Keep the smack talk in game or - if necessary - on the forums to a degree..
Anything beyond that is... just childish. And should also be fought.
