I have tried to log in, but when I enter my password and hit enter, it just clears my password out and nothing happens. I have tried to clear cache and the repair tool, but nothing has worked. Is there a work around for this issue. Thanks. |

I believe they had another log in issue after yesterdays downtime as well and they had to bring the server down. Wonder if it's the same issue happening again. |

Can you please try the following:
In the launcher, open settings and select the "Startup" tab. If "Close the EVE Launcher after starting EVE online" is checked, uncheck it. Click ok and restart the launcher.
If that is not the case, try running the launcher as administrator. Web developer | Team GForce |

Guess it's time to go back to the workable "EVE-Online\bin\ExeFile.exe" link again..
Think I will use it from now on and skip the forever bugged Launcher...
It reminds me a bit of a song by Bruce Springsteen.....

Just tried what CCP Hermaur asked to do and sadly I must report failure to launch the game. Guess I'll have to use the work around and launch client directly. |

We believe that this is due to a small change we made to the SSO this morning in the way we handle cookies. I have now deployed a fix that should address this issue.
Please try again and see if it fixes it for you. Web developer | Team GForce |

Since I see blue I'll leave this here:
http://oi39.tinypic.com/314sgat.jpg
I tried to open EVE from exefile first and it couldn't find TQ, then I tried through the launcher and got that error message; after putting in password and username the Play button was greyed out and unclickable.
Was trying to log my alt in, main was online through all of this.
//EDIT - after three tries I finally got in through the exefile |

I'm unsure if this is related to the issues people are having with passwords not working but the issue I've had with regards to logging in is that I have autoplay checked and after opening the launcher it for some reason still has my password entered and just goes straight to character selection screen rather than waiting for me to enter a password and hit enter/click to login. I was unable to select any of my other accounts as it would consistently do that this morning and as such it would just close my already logged in clients. The only workaround was I was able to uncheck "autoplay" before it managed to load the character selection screen. It was still loading up an account I had already logged in on when I last checked before leaving for work even after a reboot, may try using the repair tool to see if that fixes it otherwise yay for more launcher problems. |
