I see this discussion was good enough to warrant it's own thread, lol. The infinite conundrum of the lonely piece of trit. |

Why would CCP include one with rookie ships >_> The Insurance Corp is pissed off at capsuleers blowing up ships - Despite the paltry payout, the underwriters lose ISK on every ship they insure. The Trit is a 'Fsk You!' to the capsuleer from the underwriters. Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

It's a historic leftover by now. There once was an incident when Chribba hoarded all Veldspar and refused to refine any of it. To keep the economy from crashing there had to be a Tritanium influx to the economic cycle, which was implemented by equipping rookie ships with 1 unit of it. |

My theory is that their is some deep bug within the code that respawned you with 1 trit, and instead of fixing the bug they made it a feature, either that or in order for the respawning system to work, you have to generate an object such as 1 trit. When the DUST is settled, everything will change.

I heard someone is doing it, just to place 1 trit and/or a noob ship in EVERY SINGLE stations in EVE. maybe this is the reason behind? RIP Iron Lady |

Its to remind you that no matter how many times you get ganked or lose your money you will ways be able to trash 1000's of newb ships, get a stack of trit to gamble on a game of chance, win big and then lose it all over again in some hair brained scam or gank Cosmic signature detected. . . . http://i.imgur.com/Z7NfIS6.jpg

Hmm. I seem to remember trying that and the second noobship I earned in rapid succession didn't include tritanium. May have just been me, but I thought it wasn't *every* noobship. Incarna from 2009. 3 Years later and what we have doesn't look half as good as this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n41s1Iox18A |

You know you can use the Civilian Miner on your noobship to mine a hell of a lot more Veld FOR FREE, right? Give a man a match and you warm him for a day.

That trit is actually provided by Chribba, he once accidentally refined some of his Veldspar and it broke his heart so ever since he's been giving it away to those who have similarly suffered a loss. |

I always figured it was for when CCP allows reverse refining...that way I can turn my trit into veldspar and contract it to Chribba. |
