Sorry if this has been asked, as eve-serch is down I can't check, any details on this ship?
1) Can it warp while cloacked? 2) Will it pack a punch? 3) Any idea on the skills needed?

Not heard of this ship tbh, but i'll stick my neck out with...
1. No. 2. Uncloaking/locking penalty, maybe but not as much as a regular cruiser. No penalty, no. 3. Cruiser V, usual cloaking skills.

Not to contradict the above poster, but I understand this cruiser will be able to use covert ops cloaking... so it should be able to warp while cloaked, should it not?

Im hopeing that the Cloaking Cruisers will be like the frigs, one to scout and find the enemy, and another that waits for its prey to show up and get pwnt ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1) yes 2) probably not - CCP are frightened (and with good reason) to give a ship that can use the C/O cloak uberdamage - it's the main reason why stealth bombers can't use them. 3) Cruiser 5, Recon Ships 1 (which needs Covert Ops 4, Sig Analysis 5 and Space Command 5)

The covert ops cruiser from what i read gets its cloaking ability to create cynosural fields to call in Capital ships without getting pwned. It gets a bonus to cynosural field generation you see.
Considering its slower i'm sure it wont replace the cov ops frig in any serious way if at all.

If the ship has mad mid slots like the frigates then yeah it's going to pack a serious punch even with 2 gun slots with a small damage bonus. Being covert-op frigs can already beat interceptors and tech I frigs with EW as is.
Fear this ship if you can use covert-op cloak and it has nice medium slots =)

Even if that is the case it'll be stupidly expensive and have limited availability making using the ship in that way not the brightest idea. Also consider the insurance payout borkedness when it comes to t2... I can't see any reason you'd want to use one over say.. a BB with a cloaking device in its place, at least you wouldn't have to pay an arm and a leg to achieve nearly the same level of effectiveness.

That depends if you can activate cynosural field while cloaked on this ship, which as I can see it, would be the ONLY functionality worth paying the ridiculous isk that will be asked for it. Otherwise, a CO Frig is smaller, nimbler, easier to navigate around camps at gates and stations. Maybe it could specialise in mounting a mid slot warp disruptor bubble as well (just speculating here), which would then allow limited warp disruption in empire space?
Not sure anyone in their right mind would use one for combat unless they have uber EW or hardener stats as well.....and even then! If it can't use a Covert Ops cloak, then it will be about as useful as a chocolate teapot. PK

Bear in mind that there are going to be two covops cruisers for each faction.

Exactly where has everyone heard about these new T2 Ships and changes? I have been hearing changes about the SB's and such. A link would be helpful, I have tried searching the Blogs for a long time now with no luck.

The ship's specialization is to enter enemy territory and set up a field for the capital ships to jump in on. That is pretty much it, I bet the cov ops frigs are still better scouts and blockade runners.
