Max. speed: 0.137329101563m/s
Eight mercenary wingmen can do that to you
Anyone ever known their ship be made even slower?

GM Scout ship. 172 jumps/second.
Besides, this was about the slowest max speed ever seen.

Heya. :P
Yeah, I kinda miss the days of putting as many mwd as possible on a fast frigate and tearing the paint off other peoples' ships on the way to gates. :)

And then bumping off the gate before the AP reacts making the paint rippers you just passed make the jump before you anyway

None the less making a Indy go +1.5Km/s was a good way to get about...
Now a good Indy will hardly push past the 900m/s mark and be as big as a small moon to the targeting systems. ------------------------------------------- Should you disagree with me, well I guess that is because I disagree with you. If you have a problem with that please feel free not to tell me. |

I think this thread started out to find a slowest max speed? ie..stick cargo expanders, etc on your ship so the fastest it will go is sloooooooow....
I may have misread the first post?

I would really like to see what kind of speed you'd get out of a Revelation with 8 expanders in the lowslots.
(65-80)*1.25 = -18.75??
Does that mean the EVE universe is all downhill?

I think it will be calculated (65*1,25)-80 = 1,25m/s
It will be uber to move around :P But I hope you are correct with your calculation as -18,75 would be a lot faster than 1,25 ;) you just have to click in the opposite direction to move around.

I'm pretty sure that EVE always applies modifiers from modules before it applies modifiers from skills. And I have to admit that it would be pretty funny seeing a Revelation approaching a station in reverse.

Altho the problem I think could be would be that if you select approach or use the AP it would actually take you further away from the target, so question is if it will have to be manually driven?

Correct; the revelation *does* have a negative speed with 8 spanders on.
I didn't undock with it. :p --------
FireFoxx80: If you think you can do a better job, go find yourself a datacentre to host a box, get a copy of Visual Studio, and STFU. |

Oh come on, you have to atleast give us a field test, with fraps as evidence, that it does indeed go backwards.
However, for the time being, I'll settle for knowing how it handles approach commands and how it responds to manual commands.

Hm. i can make my iti5 go 1+km/sec without a mwd easy, only problem u have only 3 to 4k space left then.

There must be an inofficial "Silliest Petition" thread somewhere on a GM forum. This would probably end up right on there. "Can't dock since stupid ship only flies in reverse." - "Explain how comes you had 8 expanders on?" - "Leto made me."

Originally by: Baldour Ngarr "Stop" is not a maximum speed
Speed is moving a certain distance in a certian time RELATIVE TO A CERTAIN OBJECT! E.g. the speed of an airplane can be relative to the earth or relative to the air it moves in. That's why an airplane can fly safely into a hurricane, but still be standing to a "full stop" relative to the earth.
So ... you never know, you never know. "STOP" might very well be maximum speed in EVE Universe (which I am sure it is!).
