Khabok	Posted - 2005.11.23 13:26:00 - [1] I keep reading about how the PvP in this game really makes the game, and I decided last night that I'm gonna go get my aggro on in a nearby 0.4 system. So, I fit out a Catalyst with a scrambler and a webbie, and start belt hopping looking for frigates. I don't find any, but I find a nice juicy Caracal firing missles at belt rats from like 50k away, and I just happen to warp in practically on top of him. I'm all excited and get all happy when I lock him down from about 1500m away. He's all mine at this point, and I get all happy with the ransom request in local.. "Cash" I say, "or your ship".... Yeah.....riiiiighhht... 2nd volley hits me before the first volley even registers in my armor.. HOLY SMOKES! WHAT HIT ME?!!? That Caracal pilot had to be laughing his ass off at me. I took off outta there so fast my head left a dent on the inside of my pod. Got away with my ship intact, barely...and a deep-hull lesson in humility. ===================================================== 30 minutes later, I come back in my Maller, and start belt hopping again. Find the same joker in the same Caracal, sitting near a Coveter. "Sweet!", I'm thinking... 2 for the price of one.. I can ransom them both and make a killing. Covetor looks like he's busy mining, and the Caracal doesn't notice me yet, so I charge the Caracal and lay into him immediately. I get the Caracal deep into the armor before my cap runs out and I lose my scrambler on him. He takes off, and now I'm all shaking and ****ed, knowing I lost this one. I turn towards the Covetor, and just in time! There's like 10 Ogre I's heading my way, and they're gaining on me. Meh..time to cut my losses and make a run for it. DaMiGe	Posted - 2005.11.23 13:35:00 - [3] lol, yea that does happen, though 10 ogres in a barge, correct me if im wrong, but i think that cannot be done. if you want to pirate i suggest lerning from people that have done so for quite some time. Join a pirate corp and have a good hard look at what they do. ---> My vids <---

Btw stick a 1600mm plate on the maller and small guns
Skogen Gump	Posted - 2005.11.23 14:34:00 - [5] Edited by: Skogen Gump on 23/11/2005 14:34:13 With respect (lol) , If you hang around in a belt long enough for a Megathron to lock and pwn your ship and your pod, you need to take a long hard think about the job :) I've been ship killed a bunch of times, and getting your pod away is easy - as soon as you know you're dieing, select a planet or moon or something in overview, and keep clicking "warp to". Unless someones got a ship capable or insta-locking a pod, or serious lag you should be ok ... Ohh, and the nervous adrenalin shaking stops soon enough EVE is like a box of chocolates
