Well spank my ass and call me a *****..
Come home, open beer, load EVE. One difference. EVE HAS 15K PLAYERS ONLINE AND LOADS UP INSTANTLY, accually timed it, ~2 seconds! Dunno what optimisations you fellas have been doing, but damn, spiffy nice job!

Theres a big difference between 'logging in when 15,000 players are already online' and 'logging in at the same time as 15,000 other players' 
Optimizations? Maybe. But if 15,000 were to login at the same time as you, this thread would be more on the buhu-ometer.

Just because it reminds some people of holidays doesn't mean it should be changed.  Anyway, don't know about the game but the forums seem to be as responsive as ever
