What is EVE-Profit?
It is a webpage showing your loss/profit on all your market orders (not station trades nor contracts). It does take broker fee and tax into consideration and it gives some statistics so you can follow your progress month by month or see your most profitable items. You can merge your characters which give you the possibility to have for example a buy-character in Jita and a sell-character in another region and see those two characters as one virtual character - calculating the profit for the virtual character.
The webpage is very simple and clean and you can always delete all your information (no history kept).

any chance for the updated source? i run the old version in house that only has my characters in it. But my php skills are severely lacking.

this looks very promising, i will take a closer look in the near future.

edit: my first improvement suggestion would be to provide an API key creation link with the right permissions (like EVEMon does).

would you be willing to post how you fixed that error? my personal one has the same issue but i dont know enough about sql to really narrow it down.

Quick question - are all the calculations correct?. Reason I ask is that I use 3 different 'profit' calculation websites.

eveprofit, neat and eve-mogul. But each one gives me different figures...

and piter is right if it sells in the wrong order it will show a loss the first time then a greater gain the second time resulting in the same profit calculation.

One minor (and easily addressable) bug I have found is in the password reset function. When a new password is issued, it lists the original authors email address as the source. I have spoken with him, and he is happy that someone is working with the code, but he suggested you may want to change the email address.

I used this tool when I was a station trader. I moved to NEAT and then to EVE-Mogul when I started to trade between different regions. Now, I see you support this kind of trading with this tool but I use only corporation orders/wallet. It's easier to manage different alts because all can have access to the same wallet, corp hangars/market delivery's.

Will this be supported in the future?

Is anyone else noticing a 24 hour delay as to when your orders show up? I know its delayed but before it was only 30 minutes to an hour.

This looks promising, but I noticed all my sale transactions with a loss show exactly a -1.5% loss, when clearly I know from checking manually it should be in the green.

i cant say for sure on his site cuase i run an inhouse version of this.

But if you have a sale and no recorded transaction in your databse it will show the loss of whatever your taxes are in your case 1.5%.

cant comment on a 24hour delay since i dont run the site but the delay for the API is 1 hour.

I've been using eve profit for the last four weeks and while I did find specific cases where the numbers were miscalculated for some reason I did notice that over the four weeks the profit numbers calculated by eve profit and my own audits matched up within 2%.

I'd consider this a pretty fair test as I've bought and sold over 5 trillion (with a T) worth of goods the last four weeks. I did no manufacturing and did not leave the station. My audit consisted of simply a beginning amount and an ending amount with the character being completely isolated from outside transactions; the difference being the profit. The only outside variable was interest payments to current bond holders.

Some areas of concern were the miscalculated profits. Items that the wallet journal shows an obvious profit, eve profits showed as a loss. One feature I'd be interested in seeing, which may or may not be feasible, would be the option of removing transactions. Items where someone overpaid by a considerable amount (or a typo on my end whereby I undersold by a considerable amount) which then led to a set of numbers that are not good representation of trends or projections.

All in all a good and usefull too for a station trader. Props to you mate

It seems to be almost back on track to what the delay was before. but for the last week I wouldnt see my transactions for approx 24 hours.

Wouldnt it make more logical sense to have a client version of this? This could flush out the server side of things of processing more data than just an individual.

Hmm, is it still working ? I tried to register yesterday and still can't log in and I am not getting a verification mail or anything (I checked my spam folder). When I try to create an account again then there is a message email already taken so the first time seemed to work, but still I can't log in or get a mail.

Simple and effective, only one thing that bothers me: you can't sort on things like total profit, volume etc in the profit reports. Being able to do so would really help a lot.

Agreed, a sorting button would be very helpful. Oh, and I like this much better than Eve Mogul btw. Very effective, more data, API pull is instant. Awesome service, thank you :).

I tried to create a new Eve-Profit account with a new Email, but no go. I got this message after the pilot selection:

Table 'trans_raw_172' already exists

I am interested in trying this out but after signing up I have yet to receive an email and can't log in.

Thanks alot for your work on this. This is a great tool, and only tool I found that can merge characters

The only issue I have come across, is that the fist-in first-out approach can lead to misleading profits in cases where i.e. a courier contract fails, or you buy items for an alt.

In these cases the items are bought, but never sold, and next time you trade these items, it will use the price of the lost items.

Is there a way, or any plans of a way, to mark transactions to be ignored/deleted? Or any other work around for this?

Is there a good reason why you'd wait until you're no longer interested to post it? I'd love to see it on github/bitbucket right now :) It's an awesome tool and I'm glad someone's maintaining it at least.

I've noticed a slow down recently. But I still get in.

I've been using this for a while now, it's pretty cool, and I appreciate you making it available.

I have a few comments/requests though.

My main problem in using it is that I do manufacturing and PI as well as trading, and it obscures my trading profit data. I use corporate wallets for buying and selling for these other activities, and then try and filter for personal transactions. This gives me just trading sales and purchases, but the profit is(i think) still based on the FIFO using ALL purchases including corp purchases for materials etc. I trade in some of the items I buy for production and PI, so it can affect the profit figures that are coming out.

If there was an option to restrict the calculations of profit to be based on the transactions in the same wallet, that would work. Or alternative to be able to ignore corp or personal wallet transactions altogether (achieving the same thing). At the moment it seems the only option i have is to use another char to do the purchases for my other activities, but that isn't ideal because his standings are lower so broker fees will be higher, and i would have to do a lot more logging in and out than i do now.

Another minor point, probably aware of it already but the skill training info doesn't show a skill name for me, just the level it is being trained to.

No luck. I have the same problem with different browsers and computers so, as it is working for you, it must be a database problem.

It seems to me that removing characters from the account is broken. Both merged and normal.
