Ok i'd like to set up a poll about how many lag people have.
this is mostly because some people seem to have terrible lag during playtime while others like me have nearly no lag and I do tend to hang around high populated zones like jita to occasionally sell my reactions and find a good named weapon. I sometimes see 20 people at a gate but It doesn't give me any lag, maybe a little freeze up when I come out of warp but those don't take longer than 2 seconds, I can fly trough huge croweds of fighting ships but it doesn't give me any more lag than otherwise. My pc is not the best in the world, actually its more than 4 years old. my internet connection is quite strong, and rarely breaks.
if I CTD then its more likely to be me jumping a servernode while the game has been running for half a day (yes I got those day's sometimes  ) but only if the server is really bugged I get trown out.
now heres my question, DO you lag:
the anwsers are:
1: no hardly,just like you.
2: yes sometimes, but only when I'm in filled up systems at peak hours.
3: Yes, lag spikes during battles >_<
4: Yes, allmost all the time in the peak hours.
5: Yes, I allways have lag, no way to move without it.
please don't make your post to long just anwser with one of the upper lines above and type some of your own experience but don't make them miles long, share the fun :)

Both 2 and 3. Battles under 20v20 are ok in 0.0 tho any larger and well wow is all i can say.

Here is a plan of CCP's server packet handling process with diagrams showing how the hardware interfaces with the software.
It's animated for ease of explanation, the blue balls are packets of information being sent from your client and whats is also sent back.

2 and 3.
More noticeable especially in systems with a high number of pilots (esp. 50+, prompting me to seek out systems with lower numbers for quiet[er] mining). Navigation and selecting of targets becomes especially rough sometimes.
Against NPC pirates in systems with roughly 30 [or less] players, I'm fine in battle. But in systems with 30+ I have issues with combat.

also sometimes i get lag even when its not peak hours ;p but its not a constant thing.

Sadly, since the 16'th - I have to say #5. Consisten, everywhere. 1.0, 0.0 - lag everywhere.
It's not my computer causing it. Been tracing the route since the 17'th and haven't noticed any lengthy spikes or similar. I've also asked my ISP to check the route and got the same report from them - who checked it for three days.

1. except when doing fleet battle, in that case: 12 [EvE simply can't do fleet battles atm :(]
