Hi everyone <- dumb person here I want to invent T2 Rig BPCs I have a T1 BPC that I've copied from my BPO. I need to use a decryptor to improve chance of success, however what's the deal with racial decryptors? which race should I use?
Many thanks and sorry for being an idiot, I did a search before I posted so I hope I haven't missed the answer elsewhere. |

Do the math on the whether its worth using a decrypter or not first. They not only affect your invention chance, but also the ME and PE levels. However depending on what decrypter you are using, it can lower your chances and lower the overall quality of the T2 BPC.
From there you should be able to look at the race based off what encryption method the BPC needs to invent.
EDIT: Leveling up the 3 invention skills that BPC uses for invention, increases your chance of success Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012. |

You never /need/ to use a decryptor. Most module invention doesn't use them.
Always run the numbers to see if the increased costs due to the decryptor are mitigated by the increased (or decreased) chance, and the resultant blueprint Steve Ronuken for CSM 9!-á I'm starting early :) Handy tools and an SDE conversion Twitter: @fuzzysteve on Twitter |

When I've done rig invention it seemed to me it was always more cost effective to use decryptors for large rigs, usually but not always more cost effective inventing medium rigs, and pointless for small rigs. The bigger the rig, the more datacores needed for invention and salvage needed for manufacture, so the more cost a decryptor can save you. |

I'm sensing that this question is the tip of the iceberg. I think the best advice you can get right now is to join an indy oriented corp. There is a fair amount to learn about making isk with industry. The ins and outs are not something that are easily gleaned from the forums. You might end up understanding one thing but not understanding 10 other things that are also relevant.
Good luck. |
