If the Devs can't get the Autopilot to work, can't they at least let us know and go back to the first version. At least the firts version of the AP diabled for a reason.
The current AP disables for no apparent reason, and almost at every gate. And if you try doing a return trip it's completely confused. How hard can it be - the Currrent Location values is always correct so how come they can't pass the Destination value when you jump. Somehow it seems they use 'local' variables for the Current Destination value and it's lost when you jump.
The game is totally unplayeable at the moment if you need to travel back and forth. Or even on way travel is a pain when the AP diables at (almost) every gate.
Please Dev's - try to get the AP to work.

Live or Test? there are fixes to the autopilot on test builds that didn't make it into the last live build.

Autopilot works 100% for me know. Even setting waypoints works flawlessly.

On rare occasion, my autopilot still cuts out for no reason when I start my first warp once the path is set. This is on tranq, not chaos though.

I've had problems with my autopilot choosing a path that looped back on itself. After figuring out why I kept warping back to the same two jump systems I had to stop it, warp out of the loop, and then activate it again. :/ All on live though.

I'm talking about TQ, not Chaos.
And it's happened on two different machines. And keeps happening even after I deleted Win200 and installed Win XP. So I suspect it's EVE related and not something on my system.
I haven't tried Chaos, but if there's AP related stuff there not yet implemented on TQ - then I'll just have to wait and see....

Haven't had a problem with autopilot in weeks. Maybe its just how your system is responding to the game? Or the game to your system?

It's eve. Although I don't suffer too much from it, every once in awhile it turns off.
I know my instance of eve becomes unstable when my local bug kicks in. Not too much of a programmer so I'm not sure if the memory leaks from chat can be attributed to these odd problems.

I had AP problems today, I fly from my HQ down to another system (6 jumps), and on the return system, the AP kept cutting out until i did the first jump, then was ok for the rest of the journey.

yes, i often have that same AP bug on Tranq server. it will usually work flawlessly for an hour or so, then the AP begins doing all sorts of wierd things. 1) setting the destination system to the same system i am already in, 2)turning off at gates, 3)thinking it has arrived at the destination when it hasn't yet. i'm so used to it being buggy that i sometimes jump manually one gate at a time until i can't stand it anymore then relog;) this is bugged on both my computers p4-gf4ti, amd2200-gf4ti.

I gues the AP code didn't make it to the patch.
I'm getting fed up with this AP. And I don't believe it' my system as I have the same problem on three different PCs. One of which I tried using both W2Kk and XP.
So if a system is effecting the AP please let us know how exactly.
And as the AP has been broken for so long I don't believe they'll ever fix it.
I'm not leaving yet - but every time the fail to fix the AP I get a step closer to leaving.
