I'm looking to figure out what are the best ISK / hour activities in EVE, for solo and for small ( < 5 ) groups. I need actual data, not just a list of things to try.
Activities I need data for are: high sec ratting low sec ratting 0.0 ratting
N-space complexes W-space complexes
high/low sec mining (0.0 mining for small groups or solo is not really in the realm of feasible for what I have in mind)
L1/2/3/4 Missions
Anything else a character(s) of < 3-6 months old could do.
I know Piracy, PvP & Empire Ganking is pretty good when you can find the right place to camp or scan the right ship to suicide, but I'm after consistent income rates, aka. grinds.
Also, if you care to help me further, help me identify the ISK sinks? Anything that removes ISK from the game, and not just hand it to another player, is what I mean. |

Best isk an hour is to buy Plex
Using this method, you can earn upwards of at least 30 billion Isk per hour, for zero isk investment
(note: your home and family may be at risk if you do not keep up payments)

Scamming is a close second. You can earn over 9000 isk per second if you're good.
I find that without a good mob to provide one for them, most people would have no mentality at all. |

Just putting it out there, you aren't going to get a lot of precise numbers from people. Most of the old studies about Isk/hr are just that, old studies, with outdated information.
Especially because such things can very by what region of space you are in, what your skills are, what kind of people you're grouping up with, etc. Most people on this forum aren't going to number crunch on your behalf to calculate all those variables.
Generic suggestions? You can be swimming in those, and most of them will be fair ideas.
Personally? I suggest that if you are looking for a PvE activity that is NOT mining, then always bring along a salvager to mission. Salvage is awesome, for the cost of a player in a salvage fit destroyer (or a Noctis if you can afford it), you are basically doubling your income from missions. 30 billion seems a high figure for 1 hour, I would have put it more around 10 billion for 1 hour. Looking at Jita that is and going for the best price you can get whilst having to play the .01 game. |

Trade and industry. It is difficult to provide a single isk/hour ratio because the number of hours a day you can get the max isk is limited. However, it is not unfeasible to earn 500mil for one hour or an average of 300mil an hour if you were to play for 10 hours a day. I know of some people who can earn a bit more than this but not very many. These figures don't assume hundreds of billions of capital, since with vast capital you can earn a billion with 20-30mins work a day on average. There are two types of EVE player:
those who believe there are two types of EVE player and those who do not. |

If you're going to be a hunter you're going to limit yourself to the usual hunting activities. That income is sporadic.
Industry takes a while to plan and setup, but the income potential in whatever you'll pursue is consistent and steady (Goons aren't fighting over moon goo just to build their ships, after all...it's their comfort zone to exploit). It's where the big money is for individuals. But it takes ISK to make ISK, and in building it's billions of ISK to invest in simply BPOs (and have them well researched). But if you can do it, setup your shop, you'll have a steady income that will pay the bills in spades. "In a world of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act." ~George Orwell

Thanks to the Savior of Highsec and New Order Shareholders, I don't have to factor in the cost of my catalysts, so my solo gank fleet (two Gankers and a scout) net about as much as blitzing incursions used to, 80-100 mil ISK/hr. Then you have the occasional shiney loot drop which provides a nice bonus, but really, when you love what you do, you never grind a day in your life.

1. No, I'm not asking people to do number crunching for me. I'm asking to see if anyone is willing to share what they've learned from their own experience, in order to help other new players.
2. WH Capital escalations are awesome, but not really viable for the 3-6 month old player.
3. Scamming isn't really an option here.
4. I'm aware trading is the ultimate income generator if you can manage it, bit more intensive of a task, and not quite as obviously exciting as other activities.
5. What do you think IS reasonable for a 3-6 month old char? 20m/hr? 50m/hr? |

(1) Buy a PO2 acct. (2) Log in for about an hour total over the six months to change skills. (3) Sell character for 6+ billion.
That's a lot of income for an hours work.

I guess I should have said:
(1.5) Come up with a proper training plan.
I can assure you that for every ten people that do this, nine will train them so badly that they are unsellable. I'm not concerned in the least about competition. Makes the ones I train worth even more.

For a very new character, ninja salvaging/looting is good income (more than 20M ISK/hour, if you know what you are doing).
Scan down mission runners, jump in, take their loot and salvage (do it in a cheap ship). |

It doesn't have to be a well trained plan as much as a specialized one. Anybody can crank out a general character with 6 months of time, but very few crank them out with perfect skills for a particular type of ship, and that's what people are looking for. |
