Just ban the advertising of ETC's outright, and make it so that you can login and apply an ETC to an account NOT your own (with the warning that mistakes CANNOT be rectified). Just because a few players ebay does not mean that everyone's trade history should be open to anyone's view. The issue comes up on TN a lot because it is one of THE issues facing MMO games.
