The 2 times I thought I had targets they slipped away. Null sec miners have started to bubble areas around ore sites. Had 6 Barges that had warped out by the time I burned out of it. Had 2 Ventures on scan in a low sec system. Couldn't pinpoint them quick enough. And unless someone is smartbombing a gate it should be rather hard to get me at a gate camp if I happen to run into one. I"m in warp almost instantly once my gate cloak deactivates.
This is a good post. Keep it up! (a¦á_a¦â) ~ (my spaceblog) http://getoutnastyface.blogspot.co.uk/~ (a¦á_a¦â) |

No mining ship has the capability to tank a gank. Not even 1 vs 1 if you use a battleship. I'm a miner/industrialist/marketeer for over a year and like what I do. It's a versatile game and not only all about pew pew non stop. In events like hulkageddon you stop mining or die.
You take 3x 2 mil isk catalysts and blow up a 250 mil hulk. You can not run. Any ship fitted with a MWD can catch you upon warp in even if you are aligned. The ship is too fat and slow to run. You can even bump a hulk all day and it will not be able to warp away, or just plain simply decloak next to it. Watching local is useless in HS, cuz there are always +50 people in it.
I feel sorry for noobs to eve. They save for a month mining in a crap ship or doing +100 lvl 1 missions for a retriever and poof...it's gone within 10 seconds. Or how about the toons who have a 1bil michi implant and get podded cuz their computer and or internet laggy connection is too sheit to warp away in time.
I'd like to see a goonageddon for a change. I'd like to see how they feel about making 10% isk of what they normally earn for the entire month. Lets see how they feel about worrying to undock in their safe systems cuz they can go poof. It's an allowed in game option but still its simply plain bullying, nothing more nothing less. Showing that you can destroy a defensless victim and gloat about it, it's something that kids do in primary school...
Just park your miner, let them be simple minded and wait out the storm. |

Just park your miner, let them be simple minded and wait out the storm. Plenty of systems in high without 50+ in local. Many systems with fewer than ten. You are just not looking. I try to be nice and mind my business just shooting lasers at rocks. There is just way too many asshats in New Eden for that to happen. |

Not plenty...few systems. Caldari space even next to none. Some are many jumps away. How will a noob transport his hulk to a more or less safe zone. He'd have to transport it in a charon or something. Would he have the skills for that? I think not. Even so, you'd lose rigs for packaging it for a smaller transport ship. No way i'm putting a hulk in an orca. That's just a guaranteed double kill.
A side from that, a hulk pulls in 10mil isk an hour with full trained skills, warping to safe zones or docking every 10 minutes, no way...you'd make next to no isk and always paranoid eyes on local as if you were in NS. Even in a system with 10 people in it, you can't say who is who in the zoo, HS is just too busy. Toons jump in and out all the time.
I stand by my statement. Park the car and forget about it for a month. |

Get away from the main pipeline or better yet learn to use your map. There are systems out there with 30 or more belts that have very few people mining in them. Two of my alts are in a system with 50 belts. No station in system but both systems next door have stations. I try to be nice and mind my business just shooting lasers at rocks. There is just way too many asshats in New Eden for that to happen. |

LOL.
Ever think of mining in mission belts?
Bad guys have to scan you down, you know.
Also, one of our mining ninja's does his thing in low sec, and even losing one Procuror every 10 trips or so he makes a huge profit.
Also sometimes pops an Evil Pirate who underestimates his 'helpless mining barge'.
And Ventures.........VENTURES.
TLDR Procurors/Skiffs are scary. Ventures are The Devil. |
