So I just got my GTX 780 ACX edition and I thought id test how I can multi-box Eve with it. My problem is that Eve drops to 30 frames on each client when I have more than one open. Yet when I am only running one client its performance is perfect. I tried plugging in a 6970 2gb into a secondary slot with my second monitor plugged into it with the GTX 780 in the primary PCI-E slot and the main monitor connected to that. Yet I still experience the same issue. I made sure that each eve client was utilizing the graphics card that the monitor, it was on, was plugged into. Yet no matter what settings or configuration I try, I can only get Eve to function at peak performance with one client instead of two. Any advice?
Specs:
Windows 7
Asus Maximus V Formula
Intel i7 3770k @ 4.5GHz 16 GB RAM @ 1866MHz GTX 780 3gb ACX Edition
- AMD 6970 2gb (optional secondary that could be plugged into the machine)
Intel 120gb Solid State Drive
- 750gb secondary Hard Drive - 500gb secondary Hard Drive

Question, have you made sure you use v-sync? Interval 1? And run fixed Windows on both Clients, else you will not get this to work (minimize Clients each time when you click the other).
Also, check Your post-Processing in the graphic settings on the EVE Client. And don't go haywire on the AA, even if you have an awsome card. Eve is quite harsh there...
I have 3 Clients, GTX 670, and 60fps flat on all of them at the same time. So I would Guess just some configurational errors.
Btw, the New beta driver from Nvidia DOES work perfectly fine for EVE.

your PC is too powerful... ship it to me and I will fix it for you (give or take 6mos) ,,, all kidding aside...
Try not specifying the monitor in the client, any better? Oh and run each client from a folder and be sure to turn off audio/voice and all logging (so it doesn't use the drive much).
And of course, make sure your A/V isn't scanning the EVE game or folder.
And this assumes other games like BF3 and Saints Row3 run butter smooth. Because if they don't then its probably your drivers. |

Sounds like there's a problem with your machine. Possibly to do with the refresh rates of your monitors.
I'm running 3 screens, with one client per screen, off one GTX660ti, with a lower spec cpu and about half the ram, and I'm ticking over just below 60fps (v sync (or interval 1) Steve Ronuken for CSM 9!-á I'm starting early :) Handy tools and an SDE conversion Twitter: @fuzzysteve on Twitter |

Try disabling "Enable Desktop Composition" under My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Settings > Visual Effects |
