He caught a friend of mine in an indy, when they were carrying a package with a 40 million collaterl. Needless to say, he wasn't very pleased afterwards.

That's what secure containers are for.You could have gone back for the loot at a later time. Tank can't stay on forever.... or next time you could bring an escort. Or even have a corp mate in a shuttle advance scout gates for you to check for blockades, or keep tabs on local chat, or pay attention.

Its true that he should've put the stuff in a secure can, but he didn't. The route appeared safe, no poddings on the way or 0.0 space, so he wasn't on guard too much.
It seems Tank just happened to be warping in the same direction and the same time as each other, and they just met at a gate, and Tanks scorpion came out the winner.

oh, just for a warning if you come out of warp with about the same time as a pirate, i wouldn't gamble if he is or isn't going to shoot you. I do all the time.

nah, tank was not just passing by, he was camping several 1.0 system, if you want to hunt him,you need find his weakness though ,my 4 tachyon,3 HMB all with multifrequency can't do much dmg to him, just give you a hint

someone had him warp jammed and statis webified at an asteroid belt in New Caldari on Sunday evening, and was inviting everyone to warp in and take some pot shots. He logged <lol>
then he comes back on and starts to moan about exploit, which was funny.
Mr Tank moans about exploit whilst he has free reign of 1.0 systems.

i did not use to catagorize this attacking in 1.0 space and no cops showing up as an exploit, just quarky way of killing afk miners. however was in a 1.0 system and got attacked while i was there, they had a -9.9, no cops showed up to attack them. but then i attacked bcak and cops showed up to kill me(im positive i did not hit some innocent bystander). so now i consider it an exploit since i wasnt even able to fight back and the cops came to help out the pirate. |

CCP know it's a bug, and it's not fixed. People exploiting known bugs we to be banned were they not? Ah, no apparently not. Thanks for that.

It is not about an exploit.
Go to a 1.0 hub and attack there someone. Regardless of your security rating and the police response you might get warned and banned.
Go figure it out.

He was warned
He knew he exploited a bug
He ignored CCPs warnings
He got his punishment
Please keep this pesky n00b greifer from the game.
And no if you don't abuse a bug even though warned Molly you don't get banned from EVE for killing someone in 1.0. space, you will however be greeted by CONCORD. |

The main reason he got banned was NOT for exploiting, but basically for telling a GM to buzz off and continue doing it after being warned at least 2x not to.
IMO, CCP GM's did not handle this very well, but I hope they all learned something from it.
