Hey, I dont wanna start a flame thread about this, just wanna know how you utilize your interceptors in PvP.
I'm just about to start my inty training, and really dunno which one to choose. So let's hear what you all have to say about it?

Edited by: Yarek Balear on 29/11/2005 16:41:03 I like the taranis and the crow - haven't flown any others. Since you're Caldari, no-one will laugh at your crow, believe me :)

Edited by: madaluap on 29/11/2005 16:44:09 yeh i like taranis too with ions or neutron. i tend to use ion, gives the ship more balance, because you have a nos, good speed and a rep.

I prefer the ranis with neutrons to be honest. I can fit a nos, small rep II, gistii mwd, web and warp jammer (20km) with no problems. Very very good ship.

Sorry but you are an idiot. Small rep, Nos, 3 neutrons and even a tech 2 mwd doesn't fit unless you're stupid enough to fit 2 mapc in your lows.

not lost a single one 1v1 yet, only through ganks / unfair fights. Its a good setup and I like it.

stiletto. It does what ceptors were made for. If you want to do a lot of damage, get a battleship.
The majority of ppl who complain about ships having too many stabs, are those who fit dmg mods on their interceptors.

Edited by: Angelus X on 30/11/2005 08:08:38 Go Minmatar, Caldari, or Gallente mate. all three reaces have (in the case of caldari and gallente) one very good PvP interceptor, and (in the case of minmatar) two very good PvP interceptors.
Just don't choose amarrian and you should be fine!

How exactly will fitting less damage mods on a claw or sader help you tackle someone packing 5 stabs on a raven?

Which means more mid slots for more damps for easy wins. *wink*

Its simple, you fit either speed mods or plates/reps. The damage a ceptor does is irellivant except in frig fleets. If everyone fitted their ceptors for tackling, nobody would have to complain about stabs. But since everyone recokns its more beneficial to do damage than hold a target down for longer, I'll stop trying to help ppl kill us.

crow right now is the uber inty tbh, I recently started flying one on my other character and he only has rocket lvl 2 and he has killed everyother inty and some af's besides another crow. After plate changes I think crusader will finally be useful solo hunting again atm since it does only em and thermal it can't compete with plated ceptors.

Which is very true being damage doesn't matter when tackling. If more people did fit out to catch then less and less people would stop *****ing about WCS's. 3x Stilettos with just 1xSpeed and 3xDisruptor is very ugly for a Raven with WCS's. It's just a matter of how long you can hold 3xDisruptors =( which is the hard part...

3 mid slots on average inty, one taken by obligatory propulsion module, so 2 mids really.
You can either fit 2x scrambler and curse yourself when the scrambled guy saunters to gate/station and waves you goodbye, or scrambler+web and curse yourself when they have multiple stabs and wave you goodbye. But you can't really "fit out to catch" any further than that, unless we all switch to Stiletto and forget other inties even exist. ¼¼;
