Some sounds are realy great accompanying while playing EVE. My latest is this one:
"Epic score - Creator of Worlds (Looped)" (google it on Youtube)
But there of course exist many other great sounds for EVE: any suggestions?
(...of course the real great guitar-play sounds also do the job very excellent, no doubt about that!)
N.B.: "it remains a real fresh experience for me addressing so many clones at the same time |

"You spin me right round" really fits my daily activities on EVE. Save the Domi model! Spacewhales should be preserved. |

Access To Arasaka, c.db.sn, Stellardrone, Solar Fields, Huron, Totakeke, my own stuff... All fits the atmosphere of EVE, much like the original soundtrack. Which is still great. I make spacemusic. www.minddivided.com |

I just listened:
"Dead Or Alive - You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)"
ok, yes, good sound which I in some subconscious manner relate to fighting scenes of "an (unmatched) high velocity Jaguar succesfully Kiting trapped cruisers in a deadly way" Yes, agree, sounds realy ok
I will listen the other sound-entries also, just curious, as I am. |

Mars the bringer of war, good sound which I somehow associate with pilots flying Titans: slow giant machines, deadly and unstoppable...seeing those coming from afar, everyone better book some temporary vacation in some other star-system. Impressive sound, indeed.
(and about my googling, well, I presently posses and IQ of 82,3523552...but...but...I am still acquiring/accumulating points in real time, so i guess I am not totally lost at this point on the timelinehahaha...just kidding...good sound that was! |

I listened to "Versalife; Tracker" and "UNATCO HQ: Drum rendition", must say, listening those I get to feel like "having some meal but searching whole the time for the missing spicy ingredients"...but that is just my subjective personal opinion. If I would -again in a subjective way- associate it with playing EVE, wel, than I would picture it as being listened to while docked in a station which one never ever leaves....if you know what I mean to say here.
Thx for the contribution.
(...as to George Orwell's 1984, I opine that we should all be very grateful that he got that book published before the 21st century(!!)...otherwise we would never have learned of his existence and accurate future visions) |

Listening while a type this "Solar Fields - Random Friday (Album)"...represents indeed great sounds, I like it, made a note of it. Such sounds give one the feeling/awareness of never ever to be a 100% fully solved questions/puzzles about the endless Universe. In short: such sounds make us contemplate/reflect upon our tiny (human) existence in the big unknown.
Great sounds, thx |

The music grows on you. If you're an old timer in gaming and used to even 8bit sound, it's kind of nostalgic.
I play that music in all games (including WoW). It's one of the few that has a zone theme plus action and even death music for each zone. The variety - 109 - isn't done now (would take up too much disc space, thus Impulse tracking was used). Sad, because a gamer misses out on immersive music for each event.
Other game music that has zone music + action, is like EQII. But for EvE it doesn't fit well. "In a world of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act." ~George Orwell

My favorite game, i'm still playing it sometimes...
But my little secret is that in eve i'm listening to J.S. Bach (Organs) and Jeffrey Thompson programs - this stuff helps me think and be concetrated, calm, but not bored. Many times i prefer silence, or the original EVE/RealX sounds. The "normal" music is too distracting for my EVE, and i feel exausted after it. Well, i'm not doing missions or other boring stuff where music is the only salvation in 2007 i've thought it's a sci-fi simulator, not an "e-sports" game. I'm not a teenager, how would i like it much?

Ok, just listened "J.S. Bach: organ complete works (Marie-Claire Alain) 1"..I don't know what to think of it (sounds of instruments like the organ or the flute and piano for that matter, in my opinion qualify less)...gives me somehow the feeling that I am watching my own funeral whereas the fight had not even started yet..something like that.
Of course any personal qualifications re the valuing of music for purposes (in this case while playing EVE, that is) stays a highly subjective matter. Yet I think that some instruments (whereas EVE concerned) do the job far better than others. As mentioned above the synthesizer sounds in this respect will qualify in an excellent way (depending of course on the composing artist).
I also think that guitars and metal band sounds can do the job very well, take for example this one:
"Comfortably Numb" solo - David Gilmour, Royal Albert Hall (youtube)
Represents almost legendary sounds...timeless, indeed. LOOP that one hahaha, great
Though I opine that the sounds produced for this purpose by any metal bands should be non-vocal...there even might be exceptions to this "general rule"...take for instande tyhis one:
"Guns N Roses - Knocking On Heaven's Door"
Also real OK (...but not meant to LOOP) |
