lo all, gonna be doing lvl 3 missions soon, and wanted to know whats better, Beams or pulses?
My setup so far --------------
High ---- 6x Heavy pulse
Med --- 1x AB 1x Web 1x Cap injector
Low --- 1x med armour rep 4x hardeners 1x Thingy that increases powergrid (so i can fit 6 guns)
Drone bay --------- 5x Hammerheads (can only use 4 atm =(
What do you think?
I have these gunnery skills at lvl 3, (motion prediction, Sharpshooter, Controled bursts, Rapid fireing, Gunnery, medium energy turret)
Thing with pulses, is that i really need to close the distance, to get that multi freq damage, but with beams, i might not be able to take the frigs out up close, even with 4 drones.
your thoughts?

Here is the setup that I use on level 3 missions. I have only been forced to warp out once in spy stash, but I have never had to since or before that one time.
4 x heavy modulated pulse 1 x medium modulated pulse 2 x tech 2 nos
1 x 87-90% web 1 x tech 2 AB 1 x tech 2 cap recharger
1 x tech 2 armor rep 1 x tech 2 heat sink 3 x armor hardners ( I use tech two energized adaptive) 1 x cap power relay
You can run everything minus the AB forever. This is also a good PvE, antiPvP setup as you will not be a very easy target to gank. I have killed a small squad of two AF pilots that thought they were going to pirate me. So, this is a very viable setup.

Me personally i fly
2 med pulse II 2 Heavy pulse 2 heavy beam
1 webber 2 cap charger II's
1 med rep II 2 CPR 1 kinetic 1 thermic 1 explosive
With BC5 i get 70% resists accross the board and a 50% in cap need for the lasers, makes for lots of fun.

i use heavy beams only because the proph takes too long to get into web range on spread out spawns. but if i have a mission or belt that has close orbit rats, i'll go with 6 t2 pulse, cause they really do rip thru stuff fast. :)
5x t2 heavy beams 1x t2 medium beam 1x assault launcher
1x t2 10mn AB 1x t2 tracking comp 1x named cap charger
1x T2 medium armor rep 2x 50% hardners 1x PDU 2X cap relay
5 medium drones to taste
